Hodeida launches environmental awareness campaign for Eid al-Adha
Hodeida – Saba: The fifth annual environmental awareness campaign, coinciding with the Eid al-Adha holiday, was launched on Saturday in Hodeida governorate. Implemented by the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund through its Environmental Media, Awareness, and Education Department, the campaign operates under the slogan "Our Cleanliness Makes Our Holidays Eminent." Its goal is to foster positive environmental behaviors, raise awareness about improper waste disposal, encourage sound practices in homes and public spaces, and boost community participation in cleanliness efforts. Abdulnasser al-Sharif, Executive Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, stated that the Media and Awareness Department is crucial for building sustainable environmental awareness, and this campaign extends the Fund's annual efforts to promote a culture of cleanliness and community cooperation. He noted that this year's campaign specifically focuses on direct interaction with citizens in parks and public places, delivering creative and interactive awareness messages. Mohammed Al-Sakani, Director of the Media, Awareness, and Environmental Education Department, highlighted the campaign as an ongoing call for all community members to actively participate in environmental protection, viewing it as an investment in future generations. He praised the campaign's growing response each year, emphasizing that environmental preservation is a collective responsibility. The campaign aims to deliver direct messages through brochures, interactive events in parks, and the Fund's media platforms. Sherihan Makrad, Deputy Director of the department, commended community engagement, noting its importance in instilling environmental values in youth and enhancing collective responsibility. She stressed that current environmental challenges demand concerted efforts from all agencies, affirming the department's commitment to continuous fieldwork and media outreach to achieve a clean and healthy environment, with efforts continuing throughout Eid and the year. Comprehensive cleaning campaign in Marib
Marib - (Saba): The Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Marib Governorate carried out a comprehensive cleaning campaign in the districts of Jawba, Mahliyah, Sirwah. The campaign lasted three days as part of preparations for Eid al-Adha. Hussein Daghmas, the Fund's Executive Director in the Governorate, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the campaign aimed to remove waste and unplanned activities from the main and side streets and markets in the targeted districts and to enhance the civilized appearance. Summer courses inspected in Bani al-Awam district
Hajjah - Saba: Ahmed al-Akhfash, Hajjah Undersecretary for City Districts Affairs, and Hamza Sharaf al-Din, the Executive Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, on Wednesday inspected the summer courses in Bani al-Awam district. Al-Akhfash and Sharaf al-Din, along with Mobilization Officer Majed Maran and Branch Director of the Endowments Authority Office Mohammed Qatran, listened to an explanation from Sharaf al-Houthi, the Education Sector Officer in the district, about the level of turnout and the progress of summer activities and programs. The visitors urged students to make the most of the summer courses and to seek guidance from God, memorize, and recite the Holy Quran. They emphasized the importance of summer courses for equipping young people with various skills, discovering and refining their talents, developing their academic, cultural, and athletic capabilities, and protecting them from negative, domesticated concepts and the dangers of soft warfare. During the visit, stationery and school supplies were provided by the Cleanliness Fund for the summer courses. In addition, an expanded meeting was held in Bani Al-Awam District, chaired by Deputy Governor Al-Akhfash, to mobilize for summer courses. Reviewing job discipline level in Hajjah
Hajjah - Saba: Hajjah governor, Hilal Al-Sufi, reviewed the job discipline level in public departments in the province office after Eid Al-Fitr vacation. The governor and the director of the civil service office in the province, Dahyan Al-Qadi, listened to an explanation of the level of discipline and performance from the directors of public departments.
