Ammanford rider claims fastest lap of weekend at Snetterton

Lewis Jones raced at Snetterton in The British Supersport class. Due to competing in the Supersport Cup Championship, Lewis can only participate in 8 of the 11 rounds for championship points, so the weekend was used more as a test with the Triumph bike at Snetterton. Lewis had the best lap of the weekend of 1.57.099. The team made further changes before the race, mainly on the suspension to help improve the front-end feeling. The short morning warm up gave the team the opportunity to check the changes which were deemed all positive for the handling, which made Lewis and the team happy. In the feature race, Lewis made a good start and managed to keep the competition around him close to him. He settled into the race with many consistent laps. The changes made had transformed the handling and grip which resulted in Lewis finishing in P25 with the best lap of the weekend of 1.57.099. The next round of the competition is at Knockhill from July 4 to July 6, where the team will be back competing in the Supersport Cup class. A spokesperson for Lewis Jones Racing said: 'We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters and Club 100 members as we now look forward to Knockhill.'
