Tesco Clubcard changes for customers with new deals on offer

While you can no longer triple up points - this ended a while ago - you can double up the value of your vouchers by spending them at Tesco's Reward Partners, such as Zizzi, Thorpe Park and easyJet Holidays. For example, 100 points are usually worth £1 to spend at Tesco – but if you exchange your vouchers for codes to use with a Reward Partner, 100 points are worth £2. For £60 in Tesco Clubcard Vouchers members can now get a three months pass with Merlin Entertainments, with entry to Alton Towers Resort, the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Thorpe Park, Cadbury World, SEA LIFE Aquariums and others across the UK. There's also a deal running this week, until Sunday June 8, where Tesco Clubcard members can pick up tickets for the latest movies at Cineworld for £4 – which means exchanging only £2 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers at double their value for each ticket. Up to four tickets can be purchased at the discounted rate with each booking, meaning that Clubcard holders can treat family or friends to the movies by using £8 worth of Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. Cineworld is also offering a special £6 medium drink and popcorn deal, or for £1 extra customers can upgrade that to large. Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson said: 'This is a big year for Tesco Clubcard as we mark 30 years of rewards for our Clubcard members. 'In 1995, the year Clubcard launched, some of the biggest movies included Toy Story, Batman Forever and GoldenEye, and thanks to this amazing deal with our Reward Partner Cineworld, Clubcard members can buy a ticket to watch some of today's biggest movies with just £2 worth of Clubcard Vouchers.' To take up the deals, go to the Clubcard Rewards section of the Tesco app or Clubcard website and buy through the link - the Merlin pass details are here and the cinema ones are here. To get the drink and popcorn deal, customers will need to show their Clubcard when buying refreshments at the cinema. How to check your Clubcard vouchers – and find ones you've lost Tesco Clubcard vouchers are valid for two years from the date they were issued. If you're unsure when yours expire or you've lost your paper vouchers, check on the Tesco Clubcard site or app - select 'Clubcard account' and then 'Vouchers'. You'll need your Clubcard number, which is printed on Clubcards and Clubcard key fobs. Martin Lewis has a trick to extend Clubcard vouchers' lifespan On his Money Saving Expert website, it says: "If your Clubcard vouchers are due to expire and you don't want to use them yet, you may be able to extend the expiry date by another two years. "Technically, under the Clubcard T&Cs, Tesco can refuse a Reward Partner order if it decides you're trying to game the system by redeeming vouchers just to extend their validity – but we tested the trick at Towers this month and it worked just fine." Recommended reading: It adds, buy something cheap on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page or donate to one of its partner charities. The remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard account as points. So if you spend 50p using a £10 Clubcard voucher, you'll get 950 points back (worth £9.50), and get the 50p item - or donate it. "You can then swap your points for vouchers manually or wait for them to be converted with your next statement," says the site. "The expiry date for these new vouchers will be two years in the future. "There's no minimum spend, but the aim's to shell out as little as possible. A good option might be a 50p restaurant voucher (worth £1 at your chosen restaurant). You'll need to do this for each individual voucher, so it's worth weighing up if it's actually worth it for smaller denominations. For example, if you've a £10 voucher it could be worth it. If you've got a handful of £1 vouchers, maybe less so."

"We are expecting this deal to be exceptionally popular with Clubcard members able to visit scores of top attractions across the country for free by exchanging just £60 of Clubcard Vouchers at double their value. This new offer adds to an impressive range of reward partners, giving Tesco shoppers even more opportunities to redeem their vouchers for points. I'm 5'3 and a size 10 - Tesco is killing it with their summer co-ords, my haul was amazing & I got 25% off everything too For instance, those wishing to jet abroad this summer can double the value of their Clubcard vouchers to get money off an easyJet holiday booking. Every £0.50 in Clubcard vouchers is worth £1.50 towards easyJet holidays, making it a great way to cut costs on your trip abroad. Alternatively, holidaymakers can trade £5 in Clubcard vouchers for £10 to use on perfect for booking accommodation. For those staying closer to home, shoppers can also double their vouchers' value to enjoy discounts at ten major restaurant chains, including Pizza Express, ASK Italian, and Frankie & Benny's. Meanwhile, Tesco Clubcard members are being urged to act quickly, as £15million worth of vouchers are set to expire on May 31. How does the Tesco Clubcard scheme work? TESCO'S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, these points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other reward partner schemes. When you spend £1 in-store or online, you get one point when you scan your card or app. Drivers using Clubcards now get one point for every two litres spent on fuel. One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you £1.50, for example. You'll need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher. These vouchers can either be worth the face value to spend in-store at Tesco, or you can double their worth to spend at reward partners, including restaurants, and on days out. Loyalty card holders can also get cheaper prices on over 8,000 items thanks to Clubcard Prices. These Clubcard prices save the average member £351 on their annual shop, according to Tesco. Check if you can reclaim lost points Many people lose or forget to use their Tesco vouchers, but there's an easy way to claw back the last two years of unused vouchers. Here's exactly how to find out if you have any unused vouchers. The first step is to log into your Tesco Clubcard account on or via the Clubcard app. You'll need your name, email address and Clubcard number to hand. Once you've logged in, navigate to "My Clubcard Account" and then click on "Vouchers" to see a full list of any vouchers you still have to spend. You can use the code included in your voucher to spend online. If you want to redeem them in-store, you'll need to print them off and take them with you.

Tesco shoppers told to act before May 31 as supermarket issues alert

Tesco sends out Clubcard vouchers every three months - in February, May, August and November - and they are valid for two years, which means a big batch are expiring soon Tesco has issued an urgent warning for shoppers to use their Clubcard points before they expire at the end of next month. Tesco sends out Clubcard vouchers every three months - in February, May, August and November - and they are valid for two years. This means the ones that are expiring on May 31, 2025, were first issued in May 2023. The supermarket has emailed a reminder to customers, saying: 'Your Clubcard vouchers are expiring soon. Don't forget to use them on your next shop.' ‌ Tesco shoppers earn one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on groceries in stores and online, or one point for every two litres of fuel purchased at a Tesco petrol station. ‌ You also get one point for every £1 spent with Tesco Mobile or for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card, and one point for every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card. You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher, which will be worth £1.50 to spend at Tesco. But if you're not quite ready to use your vouchers yet, there is a trick to extend their life - and double their value - by using them with a Tesco "Reward Partner" such as Thorpe Park, Pizza Express and the RAC. It you make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards webpage, your remaining Clubcard voucher balance will then be credited back to you as points. These points will be turned into vouchers again when Tesco next issues you a Clubcard statement. You will need to do this for every voucher you have though - so it may not be worth it for smaller amounts. Tesco has around 20 million Clubcard members in the UK. It comes after the supermarket urged shoppers to update their Tesco app before March 31 as older versions now no longer work. In an email to customers, Tesco said: "To increase your data protection and online security, we're updating our Tesco app to a newer version. ‌ "After March 31, older versions of the app will no longer work. To keep shopping and enjoying all of your Clubcard benefits on your app, make sure you have the latest version before March 31. "This update won't affect anything you do on Thanks for shopping at Tesco." You can update your app by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play. It comes after Tesco axed its 'Pay In-Store' feature, which allowed shoppers to pay and collect Clubcard points in one go by scanning a code. It means these two steps now need to be done separately. ‌ In the email sent in February, Tesco said: "To ensure we're able to keep bringing out the best value and convenience, we've taken the decision to remove the pay in-store feature, formally known as Tesco Pay+, from the Tesco app. "Between now and March 7, the pay in-store feature will be phased out and any linked card details will be removed, unless you're using them for GetGo, Whoosh, or home delivery shopping. "So next time you're in-store, you'll need to pay separately after scanning your Clubcard. You can still earn points and access Clubcard Prices by simply scanning your Clubcard or app at the till. Or you can add your Clubcard to your Apple or Google Wallets.'
