Another Starbucks opening in Perth's northern suburbs

Starbucks is continuing its march into WA, with its second cafe in Perth's far northern suburbs set to open in Butler this Thursday, June 19. The 250 sqm cafe on Butler Boulevard, featuring a drive-thru, will be Perth's sixth Starbucks store. To celebrate the store's grand opening, Starbucks will be giving away a free 16-ounce reusable Cold Cup to the first 200 customers arriving from 5 am on the day. Your local paper, whenever you want it. The store will typically operate from 6am to 8.30 pm Mondays to Sundays and is expected to create 20 new local jobs once open. Despite being the world's biggest coffee chain and a familiar sight on the east coast of Australia for years, Perth's first Starbucks opened in Piara Waters only last October, drawing massive early morning queues as the American coffee giant broke into the WA market. The Clarkson store is about 10 minutes south of the new Butler cafe. 'Our team are thrilled to be opening our 6th store in Western Australia – with a mix of now 'seasoned' partners from our nearby Clarkson location, plus some fresh faces.,' a Starbucks spokesperson said speaking to PerthNow. 'The team have been working hard this week to unpack and set up, ready to serve our first customers bright and early on Thursday.' Starbucks hopes to have another five stores opened in Perth by the end of the year.

Here's when you can get your Starbucks fix in Mandurah

Starbucks' latest WA offering is set to open in Mandurah this Thursday and is offering a freebie for the first 200 customers. This will be the coffee chain's fifth WA location after coffee lovers lined up around the block to get a sip when its first store opened in Piara Waters in October last year. Mandurah coffee lovers can get their fix from June 5 with the Pinjarra Road store opening Monday to Friday from 5am to 10pm and Saturday to Sunday from 6am to 8pm. The new café offers a stylish and welcoming 250sqm space where customers can relax, recharge, and reconnect over their favourite handcrafted beverages. On offer will be the classic flat white or Starbucks' famous sweet seasonal treats. To celebrate the launch, the first 200 customers through the doors from 5am will receive a free 16oz reusable Cold Cup. The store also features a convenient drive-thru, allowing customers to enjoy their favourite drinks and snacks on the go. Credit: Supplied 'We're thrilled to bring the Starbucks experience to Mandurah,' said Mandurah Store Manager Dan Hambly. 'Starbucks Mandurah is a space where the community can gather, connect and enjoy the little things, one cup at a time.' However, some social media users have expressed worries about the traffic as the new Mandurah store is close to the Mandurah Forum and two sets of traffic lights. Opening day of the Piara Waters store saw cars queued up around the block from 4.30am and blocked traffic in the area. Starbucks said the Piara Waters opening surpassed Hong Kong Disneyland as the largest Starbucks store opening ever in the Asia Pacific region. Starbucks Mandurah is one of two new WA stores opening this June, following launches in Piara Waters, Murdoch, Clarkson, and Ellenbrook.
