Live on Location: Getting to know the community of Colfax
WHO 13's Today in Iowa crew has had a wonderful week learning about the unique town of Colfax in Jasper County and sharing the community's history and progress.
We wrapped up the week Friday morning with a live visit to Colfax's Mineral Springs Park, where our Justin Surrency spoke with the superintendent of Colfax-Mingo Schools, Tim Salmon, about recent upgrades to athletics facilities and a proposed 100-spot childcare facility.
Meteorologist Megan Salois also got in on the action with a trip to Sheepgate Coffee Company to meet community members and learn about the shop's caffeinated menu and sweet treats.
Justin talked with local pharmacy owner and city council member Brad Magg about the need for Gov. Reynolds to sign the PBM legislation into law, and the effort and investment being made into the town's Main Street.
