Creighton breezes to 11-4 victory over Kansas in nightcap of Fayetteville Regional
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Nolan Sailors drove in four runs and fell a single shy of hitting for the cycle as No. 3 seed Creighton rolled to an 11-4 victory over second-seeded Kansas in the nightcap of the Fayetteville Regional on Friday. Creighton (42-14) will play No. 1 seed Arkansas on Saturday. Kansas (43-16) plays an elimination game against No. 4 seed North Dakota State to begin the day.

Chapman's 3 RBIs, Doyle's 11 Ks help host Tennessee beat Miami (Ohio) 9-2 at regional
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Reese Chapman had three RBIs, including a solo home run, Liam Doyle recorded 11 strikeouts and top-seeded Tennessee beat Miami (Ohio) 9-2 on Friday night at the Knoxville Regional. No. 14 national seed and regional host Tennessee (44-16) plays third-seeded Cincinnati on Saturday. No. 4 seed Miami (35-22) takes on Wake Forest in a loser-out game. Doyle (10-3) gave up a run on four hits with three walks over 6 2/3 innings. Dean Curley drew a bases-loaded walk in the third inning and Chapman followed with a sacrifice fly that drove in Andrew Fisher to make it 3-1. Fisher, Hunter Ensley and Dalton Bargo hit back-to-back-to-back RBI singles to spark a five-run fourth before Cannon Peebles led off the fifth with a double and scored on a single by Gavin Kilen to make it 9-1. Chapman hit a solo shot to open the scoring in the second but Dillon Baker led off the third with a double and scored on a two-out double by David Novak to make it 1-1. Evan Appelwick capped the scoring with a lead-off homer in the ninth. Cooper Katskee (11-2) gave up seven runs — five earned — on six hits with four walks over 3 1/3 innings. ___ AP college sports:

Arizona uses three-run second inning to beat Cal Poly 3-2 in opener of Eugene Regional
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Easton Breyfogle homered after Tommy Splaine's RBI triple in a three-run second inning and Owen Kramkowski made it stand up as No. 2 seed Arizona hung on for a 3-2 victory over third-seeded Cal Poly in the opener of the Eugene Regional on Friday. Arizona (40-18) advances to play the winner of the nightcap between No. 1 seed Oregon and No. 4 seed Utah Valley in a Saturday matchup. Cal Poly (41-18) will play an elimination game against the loser earlier Saturday. The Wildcats' rally came with two outs and the bases empty against Mustangs starter Griffin Naess (7-3). Andrew Cain — who batted seventh in the order — walked on a 3-2 pitch and Splain tripled to right-center field. Breyfogle followed with a two-run homer to right-center for a 3-0 lead. Kramkowski (9-5) allowed one run on eight hits in seven innings with seven strikeouts. Tony Pluta pitched a scoreless ninth for his 13th save. Dylan Kordic had an RBI single off Kramkowski in the sixth for Cal Poly's first run. Cam Hoiland homered to left off Wildcats reliever Garrett Hicks in the eighth. Arizona has advanced to the College World Series 18 times. The Wildcats have won four of them — most recently in 2012. They have been runners-up four times — most recently in 2016. Cuvet and Galvin hit HRs to help Miami beat Alabama 5-3 at Hattiesburg Regional
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Daniel Cuvet hit a three-run home run in the first inning, Max Galvin added a solo shot in the fifth and No. 3 seed Miami beat Alabama 5-3 in the opening game of the Hattiesburg Regional on Friday. Miami (32-24) plays either top-seeded Southern Miss or Columbia on Saturday. No. 2 seed Alabama (41-17) takes on the other in a loser-out game. Jake Ogden walked to lead off the game and Galvin followed with a single before Cuvet hit a 3-0 pitch over the wall in right field and the Hurricanes led the rest of the way. Cuvet led off the third with a double and scored on a two-out single by Renzo Gonzalez to make it 4-0. Kade Snell was hit by a pitch to lead off the fourth and scored for Alabama when Brady Neal grounded out with the bases loaded. Brennen Norton followed with a two-RBI double to cut the Crimson Tide's deficit to 4-3. AJ Ciscar (6-1) gave up three runs on six hits with eight strikeouts over seven innings. Brian Walters pitched a scoreless ninth and earned his ninth save of the season. Bryce Fowler fouled off seven straight pitches before he reached on an error with two out in the ninth and moved to second when Justin Lebron was hit by a pitch but Walters got Snell to fly out to end the game. Riley Quick (8-3) pitched six innings and allowed five runs on eight hits with four walks and six strikeouts. ___ AP college sports:
