5 arrested, 2 injured after shooting in Harrisburg, Richmond County deputies beef up patrols
Augusta, GA (WJBF) – Five people are in police custody after a shooting in Augusta's Harrisburg neighborhood. It happened Sunday around 8:30pm.
According to Lt. Lewis Blanchard, Chief of Staff for the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, the shooting was between teenagers.
He tells NewsChannel 6 that the situation is under control and extra deputies will be patrolling the area throughout the rest of the evening.
Two people were takend to the hospital.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation.
