Lizzo shows off her weight loss in a busty sheer leopard print look inspired by Shania Twain

Lizzo marked her 37th birthday by donning a Shania Twain -inspired full leopard look. The About Damn Time hitmaker, who hit Stagecoach with Paris Hilton this weekend, modeled a skintight, plunging, halter neck dress with a corset bodice in a sultry Instagram reel. Engaging her audience of 11.6 million, she used the country singer's 1997 hit Man! I Feel Like A Woman! off her Come On Over album as the soundtrack. Twain famously wore a head-to-toe leopard ensemble in her That Don't Impress Me Much music video, a single from the same LP. She's come to be synonymous with the bold print. Lizzo, real name Melissa Jefferson, wore her caramel-highlighted locks in a flirty, 90s-esque updo and wrote in the caption, 'IT'S MY BDAYYYYYY!!!'' Her birthday post comes days after she finally revealed how she lost weight and what she quit to reach her goals. In a follow-up Instagram post, Lizzo shared an emotional caption with her legion of online fans. She wrote, 'I'm a tough cookie. I tried my whole life not to cry and be seen as anything less than strong. 'I had a lot of anxiety leading up to my birthday and I could feel it clogging my emotions… last night at dinner, while freaking out about not spending time with everyone equally and worrying if people were having a good time, I looked and saw my mommy brother & sister sitting in front of me, eating and smiling.' The note continued: 'I looked to my right and my best friend Lexo was making a joke about eating avocados and I lost it. 'I cried like a baby! I couldn't control the tears pouring through the wall I'd been hiding behind. I was SO HAPPY because regardless of yesterday and regardless of what was gonna happen next, in that very moment I had everything I needed. In that moment everything was ok.' In conclusion, she said, 'In this present moment I am sooo grateful for all of the birthday wishes and thoughts and prayers and love. I am so full so happy and so deeply blessed by you all.' The classically trained musician previously made a triumphant return to the stage in March with a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Addressing the audience between songs, she opened up about her struggle with depression after getting hit with sexual harassment lawsuits in 2023. 'I named [my album Love In Real Life] because about a year and a half ago — it's so hard for me to talk about — I was in such a dark, deep depression,' she shared at the time. The star said her breakthrough came when a complete stranger at a concert 'looked at me and said, "Lizzo, I love you."' Ahead of her birthday, the Michigan-bred music artist showed off her slimmed down figure in a flesh-baring black outfit while performing with Hilton. She flaunted her cleavage in a semi-sheer bodysuit, adding a netted maxi skirt. Her birthday celebration comes amid her stunning weight loss, which she opened up about on TikTok last week, explaining that she shed pounds by avoiding sugary foods she used to regularly indulge in. She broke her Starbucks habit, she said, which included drinking 'two to three' large beverages a day. The pop star estimated they accounted for about 1200 calories in her daily diet. Jefferson, who revealed in January she lost 16% of her body fat, said she still has sweets, but is more mindful of what they are now.

Shania Twain gets tearful as she closes 'special' chapter: 'You are everything'

It is a bittersweet time for Shania Twain. This week, the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" singer closed out a special chapter, her recent Come On Over Las Vegas residency, which began back on May 20, 2024 and had almost 30 shows. And while she was sad to bid adieu, she promised fans there's much to look forward to, including new music from her. As her residency came to an end, Shania took to Instagram and shared a sweeping recap of the special time, along with a touching tribute. Some of the photos she shared highlighted the variety of whimsical outfits and wigs she wore on stage, sweet moments shared with both the audience and her crew, and other unforgettable moments on and off the stage. "That's a wrap on the Come On Over Las Vegas Residency!" Shania then wrote in her caption, and emphasized: "Vegas holds a special place in my heart and this experience was even better than I could have imagined." Shania has had several residencies in Vegas, most recently before Come On Over her Let's Go! residency, which ran from December 2019 to September 2022, save for pandemic-related postponements. "Every crowd showed up with 100% energy, the best outfits on The Strip, the loudest singalongs and the most kick-ass onstage moments," she continued, adding: "I couldn't ask for better fans… You are everything!!" "Thank you to my incredible cast and crew, on and off stage, for making this show what it is. Your hard work and passion mean the world to me." The Grammy winner then told fans: "Cry because it's over… BUT don't cry too much because I can't wait to see you on the road this summer for my final shows of 2025 before I head into the studio to start writing new music!" Shania now has about ten more shows across Canada and the U.S., culminating with a gig at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida in August. Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and praise Shania, though first one of her crew members commented: "Forever grateful to you for welcoming me so warmly into the team. It's been something I'll never forget! Thank you!!" as others followed suit with: "Thank you for all the wonderful memories! I've had the pleasure of seeing this residency FOUR TIMES now! Hopefully see you this summer! Love you always!!!" and: "We have made the most amazing memories at your show. From laughing to crying, making friends & singing giddy up with you on stage, it's truly been a blast! THANK YOU Shania."
