Mars Chronicle chapter 52 release starts final arc
The manga Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle returned on January 8, 2025, with Chapter 52 released on Kodansha's Comic Days app. This marks the first new chapter since March 2024, and the series will now continue without interruptions until Chapter 56.

, the creator of Alita, confirmed that Chapter 56 will mark the end of Mars Chronicle. However, the story won't be finished. A brand-new series under a different title will begin later this year, continuing Alita's journey and giving fans more content to enjoy.

The manga has faced several delays over the years. After Evening magazine ceased publication in 2023, the series was moved to Kodansha's digital platform. It then went on break again in November 2024. Now, Mars Chronicle is back, and it will continue through Chapter 56 before transitioning into a new series.
