Noida: On the 79th Independence Day, 14 police officials received medals for gallantry, commendable service, and commendation marks of honour. Over 100 others were awarded certificates by the police commissioner for their contributions to law enforcement, while the families of two personnel who had been martyred were also honoured. Commissioner Laxmi Singh hoisted the flag at the Reserve Police Lines, while additional commissioner of police (law and order) Dr. Rajiv Narayan Mishra led the ceremony at the commissionerate office in Sector 108, and additional commissioner of police (headquarters) Ajay Kumar did so at the police headquarters in Surajpur. A flag hoisting ceremony was organised in all the police stations and offices of the Commissionerate. Along with this, 105 police officers/employees were given certificates for their significant contribution and cooperation in the police department, and Class IV employees were honoured with presents. The commissioner also expressed support and sympathy for the family of deceased inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, head constable Bijendra Kumar, constable Sunil Bhati, and constable Saurabh Kumar and felicitated them.
