(WPRI) — Rhode Island College, the University of Rhode Island and the Bristol Community College all held commencements on Saturday. George Nee, the former Rhode Island AFL-CIO President, delivered the commencement address at RIC. Bette Gallogly, Shelter Manager of Community Care Alliance and Meghan Grady, Executive Director, Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island both received honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degrees. For URI, this is the second of a three day graduation weekend. Students from College of Health Sciences, the Feinstein College of Education, the College of the Environment and Life Sciences and the Graduate School of Oceanography all received their degrees today.
