Niantic reveals star of Pokemon GO July 2025 Community Day Classic event - Return of a fan-favorite

Eevee
as the featured Pokemon for its
Community Day Classic event
on July 5 and 6, 2025. The two-day event will offer players increased spawns, shiny encounters, and exclusive evolution moves for Eevee's many forms.

The Pokemon GO Eevee Community Day Classic event will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time on both days. Key features include:
- Increased wild Eevee spawns
- Higher chance of encountering shiny Eevee
- Exclusive moves for Eeveelutions when evolved during the event
- Reduced evolution requirements for Espeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon
Pokemon GO Eevee Community Day Classic Evolution bonuses and featured attacks
Evolving Eevee between the event start and July 12 at 10:00 PM local time will grant special moves:

Temporary evolution requirement changes for Eevee in Pokemon GO
To make evolving easier, Niantic has reduced the requirements for three Eeveelutions:
- Espeon & Umbreon: Only 1 km walking distance needed (normally 10 km)
- Sylveon: Only 7 buddy hearts required (normally 70)
These changes will revert after July 12 at 10:00 PM local time.
