Waco PD to host career, mentoring and health event
WACO, Texas (FOX 44) – Many community organizations in Waco will be providing resources to youth, teens, and young adults at an upcoming event.
The Community Opportunity Event (COE) at the Foster Pavilion will be hosted by the Waco Police Department's Neighborhood Engagement Team and Waco Parks and Recreation. The overall goal is to offer life skills, job opportunities, mentoring programs, mental and physical health information, general educational development, higher education scholarships and grant information to those who need them.
The Southern Career Institute will be present to share valuable insights and services related to careers in the medical field, skilled trades, and truck driving. Their involvement will help connect attendees with training and career pathways that lead to long-term success.
