Apprentice viewers can't understand 'crazy' project manager twist
The Apprentice cooked up one of the oddest project manager selections ever on Thursday, 3 April.
It was Week 10 of the BBC's entrepreneurial reality show, which sees one standout candidate earn a £250,000 investment from mentor Lord Alan Sugar, and the seven remaining participants had a sustainable fashion brand task infront of them.
But while pitching himself to lead the latest task, viewers were left staggered as Liam Snellin's years of invaluable experience was casually brushed aside by his three teammates Jordan Dargan, Mia Collins and Anisa Khan.
"I've definitely gotta put myself forward for this one," began Snellin, who runs his own construction workwear brand Comodo.
"I've got a fashion business on the outside. I design clothes regularly so I think this is right up my street."
Despite his profession being in the 3D animation space, Dargan was equally as confident, explaining: "I'll put myself forward as well. I've worked with garments in the digital world, so a little bit of experience there.
"I personally think going down the route of upcycling; there's a stronger story in returning something that was ugly into something beautiful and new. I think that's the message and the emotion that we want to evoke," he pitched.
An understandably baffled Snellin spoke to the cameras soon after, highlighting his expertise in the relevant field to this week's venture.
"I do this on the outside day-to-day," he said. "I design clothes, I manufacture clothing, and I'm just gutted that I'm not the project manager."

This sentiment was echoed by The Apprentice fans writing on social media X as the episode aired.
One person tweeted: "Not getting picked as PM in your own topic that relates to your business plan is crazy."
"Liam LITERALLY does this s**t for a living. They chose the mouthy Irish guy. Make it make sense," read another reaction.

After a frustrating 24 hours under the management of Dargan, Snellin's nightmare somehow took an even deeper dive into misery as their team came out second-best in the task.
Addressing the four candidates on the losing side, Sugar wasn't happy with messages of "despondency" and "sabotage" reaching his ears from the frontline - reported by aide Tim Campbell - as Snellin seemingly lacked much commitment to the cause.
He paid a heavy price too, becoming the first member of his team to be fired on the night.
Later, Collins followed Snellin into the dreaded black cab.
