Apprentice viewers can't understand 'crazy' project manager twist

Yahoo03-04-2025

The Apprentice cooked up one of the oddest project manager selections ever on Thursday, 3 April.
It was Week 10 of the BBC's entrepreneurial reality show, which sees one standout candidate earn a £250,000 investment from mentor Lord Alan Sugar, and the seven remaining participants had a sustainable fashion brand task infront of them.
But while pitching himself to lead the latest task, viewers were left staggered as Liam Snellin's years of invaluable experience was casually brushed aside by his three teammates Jordan Dargan, Mia Collins and Anisa Khan.
"I've definitely gotta put myself forward for this one," began Snellin, who runs his own construction workwear brand Comodo.
"I've got a fashion business on the outside. I design clothes regularly so I think this is right up my street."
Despite his profession being in the 3D animation space, Dargan was equally as confident, explaining: "I'll put myself forward as well. I've worked with garments in the digital world, so a little bit of experience there.
"I personally think going down the route of upcycling; there's a stronger story in returning something that was ugly into something beautiful and new. I think that's the message and the emotion that we want to evoke," he pitched.
An understandably baffled Snellin spoke to the cameras soon after, highlighting his expertise in the relevant field to this week's venture.
"I do this on the outside day-to-day," he said. "I design clothes, I manufacture clothing, and I'm just gutted that I'm not the project manager."

This sentiment was echoed by The Apprentice fans writing on social media X as the episode aired.
One person tweeted: "Not getting picked as PM in your own topic that relates to your business plan is crazy."
"Liam LITERALLY does this s**t for a living. They chose the mouthy Irish guy. Make it make sense," read another reaction.

After a frustrating 24 hours under the management of Dargan, Snellin's nightmare somehow took an even deeper dive into misery as their team came out second-best in the task.
Addressing the four candidates on the losing side, Sugar wasn't happy with messages of "despondency" and "sabotage" reaching his ears from the frontline - reported by aide Tim Campbell - as Snellin seemingly lacked much commitment to the cause.
He paid a heavy price too, becoming the first member of his team to be fired on the night.
Later, Collins followed Snellin into the dreaded black cab.
The Apprentice airs Thursdays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Kim Cattrall Perfectly Explained Why She Met Partner Russell Thomas at Just the Right Time

While fans of Kim Cattrall have watched her date countless men in her years on Sex and the City, it seems she's luckier in love than even Samantha herself. Cattrall has been dating her partner, British actor Russell Thomas, since 2016, and she's finally opening up about their love story. In a new interview with The Times UK, Cattrall gushed about her longtime love. 'He's had an incredibly interesting life and really done it on his terms,' she said of Thomas, who is 14 years her junior. 'He's a bit of a rebel, which I love.' More from SheKnows Why Kate Middleton Is No Longer Wearing Her Engagement Ring That Belonged to Princess Diana The two first met in England when she was recording for a BBC radio show. The two instantly clicked, and soon Thomas was traveling to Canada (where she lives) to see her. 'We've been together almost ten years now,' she looked back. 'And we've had a blast. We've just had so much fun.' Cattrall, who's also starred in shows like Glamorous and How I Met Your Father, then explained why her connection with Thomas came at just the right time. In her words, having him was an expected joy after her brother Christopher's death by suicide in 2018. He was 55. 'I think when someone dies from suicide, those around them think, 'Why didn't I see it? Why wasn't I there?' Or, 'How could I have been ignoring, in retrospect, signs that were clearly unhealthy?' But that was ultimately his choice,' she said. 'I had to accept that I couldn't change that destiny. That as much as I thought I could, and as powerful as I thought I was, I couldn't have prevented it.' 'I keep saying I wish I hadn't gone through all that,' she said of the loss. 'And then I thought to myself, well, if I hadn't gone through that, I wouldn't have met Russ.' 'So life has surprises and trade-offs,' she continued. 'It was a bad time, but I learned a tremendous amount. And at the other end of it was this incredible, fun playmate.' We're so glad Cattrall has someone by her side no matter what. Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on June 14, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated June 14, 2025, 12:15 IST Blue Eye Samurai took the streaming world by storm with its stunning animation, gripping storyline, and complex characters when it debuted on Netflix in November 2023. The R-rated animated series, set in Edo-period Japan, follows Mizu, a mixed-race samurai voiced by Maya Erskine, on a bloody quest for revenge. After a critically acclaimed first season, Netflix swiftly greenlit Blue Eye Samurai Season 2, leaving fans eager for more. Here's everything we know so far about Season 2. Release Date Speculation for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 While Netflix confirmed the renewal of Blue Eye Samurai for Season 2 in December 2023, no official release date has been announced. Based on production timelines and statements from the creators, fans may need to exercise patience. The first season was greenlit in October 2020 and took three years to produce, partly due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. With production for Season 2 already underway, the timeline is expected to be slightly shorter, but high-quality animation remains time-intensive. Executive Producer Jane Wu and co-creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi have hinted at a 2026 release window during interviews. Wu noted that the team is working on the first episode, with four of the six episodes already written. Given the complexity of the 2D/3D hybrid animation style, which aims to resemble a 'moving painting,' a 2026 premiere seems realistic. Some reports speculate a late 2025 release, but most evidence points to 2026 as the earliest likely date. Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Expected Cast The voice cast for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 is expected to feature many returning stars from the first season. Here's a breakdown of the likely cast: Maya Erskine as Mizu : The titular blue-eyed samurai, a half-Japanese, half-white warrior disguised as a man, will continue her vengeance-driven journey. Erskine's performance has been a cornerstone of the series' success. Kenneth Branagh as Abijah Fowler : The Shogun-allied Irish smuggler, spared by Mizu in Season 1, is expected to return as a key antagonist. Masi Oka as Ringo : The loyal, optimistic cook and Mizu's companion is likely to continue his journey alongside her. Brenda Song as Princess Akemi : The strong-willed princess, whose arc intertwined with Mizu's in Season 1, is expected to return. Darren Barnet as Taigen : Mizu's rival-turned-uneasy ally, a proud samurai, is likely to feature prominently. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as The Swordmaker : Mizu's mentor figure is expected to return. Stephanie Hsu as Ise and Ming-Na Wen as Madame Kaji : Both supporting characters are likely to reprise their roles. Harry Shum Jr. as Takayoshi : Another key figure expected to return. Freddie Fox as Poet: A new character introduced for Season 2, though details about whether Poet is a friend or foe remain undisclosed. Plot Details for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 The first season of Blue Eye Samurai ended with a major cliffhanger, setting the stage for a bold new direction in Season 2. Mizu, having confronted and spared Abijah Fowler, learns that her quest for revenge against the three remaining white men who could be her father leads her beyond Japan. The season finale sees Mizu embarking for London, marking a significant shift from the Edo-period Japan setting to Europe, likely England. This change promises to explore how Mizu navigates Western culture and whether her perceptions of Europeans as 'monsters' hold true. Season 2 will consist of six episodes, down from the eight in Season 1, but each episode will average around 44 minutes, ensuring substantial storytelling. The narrative will continue to focus on Mizu's quest for vengeance, with new challenges and enemies emerging as she pursues the remaining traffickers. Princess Charlotte's Expected Role at Trooping the Colour Proves She's the Ultimate Big Sister

Princess Charlotte, 10, and the rest of the royal family are gearing up for Trooping the Colour on June 14 and fans are already expecting an important personal role for her. The middle child of Prince William and Kate Middleton is known to be the reliable rule-follower in the family — that means she will probably be helping Mom keep Prince Louis' adorable antics to a minimum. A royal source promised GB News that Charlotte loves playing the big sister role to her little brother. And if he misbehaves? More from SheKnows Kate Middleton's 2025 Trooping the Color Look Honors Both Princess Diana & Queen Elizabeth II 'Don't worry, his sister will do [take care of] that,' the palace insider confirmed. At Trooping the Colour in 2024, Charlotte was spotted helping Louis with royal protocol. She sweetly showed him how to hold his arms for the English National Anthem, but she also scolded him to 'stop' when he danced on the balcony. Charlotte takes her royal role very seriously. Princess Charlotte's 'strong character' is why her appearances will reportedly be ramped up this summer. Childrenswear designer Amaia Arrieta described the young royal to People as 'almost wise beyond her years.' 'She looks very confident and at ease with herself and the environment she's in,' she added. 'The maturity that comes with that responsibility—she seems to nail it every time.' Prince Louis, 7, has become known for his carefree, wild streak, something that royal fans don't necessarily see in Prince George, 11, or his younger sister. BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond explained why there seems to be parenting differences with Louis. 'Being the youngest is often something of a privilege,' she told the Mirror. 'You get away with a lot more and you are that little bit special as the last-born.' 'Catherine probably lets Louis run wild more than she did with George. She and William are very experienced parents and I'm sure they love all three kids equally—but probably in different ways,' she added. 'George because he's the first-born and has a destiny to fulfill, Charlotte because she's the only girl, and Louis because he's the youngest.' So, Charlotte will likely step up and guide Prince Louise throughout the Trooping the Colour festivities as she shines as a leader in the royal family.
