An explosion shook the New Seabury Country Club in Mashpee, Cape Cod, on Wednesday evening. Loud blasts, believed to be caused by fireworks, can be seen in videos posted online. These clips showed bright flashes and smoke close to the ground, while people nearby ran away in fear. Local media reported that one local resident said their home even shook from the blast. The Club at New Seabury in Mashpee, Massachusetts Concert Golf Partners acquired New Seabury from IE Homes, Clubs and Resorts for an undisclosed price. The 300-acre oceanfront property near Cape Cod features 36 holes — the Ocean Course and the Dunes Course — plus a beach club and two dozen guest cottages and condos.
