Saskatchewan Charges against Connor Douglas include impaired driving causing death Social Sharing An 18-year-old is facing impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle crash in Regina that killed a 13-year-old. Regina police say officers responded to the area of Sixth Avenue North and Smith Street just after 5:30 a.m. CST on July 31. They found a vehicle that appeared to have crashed into a power pole then rolled. A 13-year-old passenger in the vehicle was declared dead at the scene. Now, 18-year-old Connor Douglas is charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and being over the legal alcohol limit for driving. Douglas made his first appearance in Regina provincial court on Tuesday.

(Gareth Dillistone/CTV News) The Regina Police Service (RPS) has charged an 18-year-old man in connection to a fatal, single vehicle crash on July 31. Officers were dispatched at around 5:30 a.m. that morning for a report of a serious crash in the area of 6th Avenue North and Smith Street. Officers discovered a car that appeared to have collided with a power pole and rolled. A 13-year-old victim, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene. Members of RPS's collision reconstruction team were called to the scene and began their investigation. As a result of that effort, 18-year-old Connor Douglas faces three charges. They include operation of a conveyance impaired by alcohol or a drug or combination of both causing death, dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death and exceeding 80 mg of alcohol within two hours of operating a conveyance. Douglas made his first appearance on his charges in Regina provincial court on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 5.

Wigton social group donate 100 Easter eggs to church foodbank

A GROUP of lads from Wigton have donated 100 easter eggs to Wigton Foodbank at the Cornerstone Methodist Church. The group are part of Wigton Round Table 394, a social group for men aged between 18 and 45. They meet every other Tuesday night to 'do different things and escape from the pressures of everyday life.' Activities include everything from axe throwing to escape rooms. The group enjoying paintballing. (Image: Wigton Round Table) The round table also aims to get involved with community and charity work. Connor Douglas, who is part of the Wigton Round Table said: 'The Round Table Wigton is all about community, camaraderie and making a difference. 'This Easter we hopped into action by donating 100 Easter eggs to the Wigton food bank at Wigton Methodist Church. We're proud to spread some sweet joy and show that a little kindness goes a long way.' The team trying out archery.
