Footy WAG claims she had to move on from her job because of her social media posts

The girlfriend of an AFL player has claimed she felt she had to leave her job because her employer didn't like her rising social media profile. Paris Tier, the partner of Greater Western Sydney Giants player Conor Stone, revealed on her podcast WAG: Women and Goals that she changed jobs because of her TikTok posts. She was working in sales merchandising at a time when she wasn't creating much noise online because she had few followers. But her relationship with Stone changed that and her posts quickly gained traction. Tier's social media content – which had nothing to do with her employment – started attracting 30,000 views or more. And that's when she believes things changed at work. 'I got a call from a colleague and she said, "Our boss has called me saying you can't work tomorrow because somebody has complained about your TikTok",' Tier told News Corp. Tier was told the complaint was not made to the company that employed her directly, but the one that she was contracted to as part of her role. Tier (pictured with Stone) said she moved on from her previous job despite confronting the HR department to make sure her social media posts were okay The post that attracted the complaint was about an NRL player. Tier later deleted the video. She asked the company's HR and media departments whether her social media presence was an issue. 'I was a little bit disappointed because when I messaged [my boss] about it, she said it was nothing,' Tier said. She consulted an employment lawyer while she was on two weeks' leave after she was told she 'wasn't the right fit for the role'. Tier said she quit the role just before she was sent a letter of termination, and claimed she still has no idea where the complaint came from or if it was even real. The footy WAG is now happily working in a new industry, but believes employment contracts should highlight potential issues regarding employees' social media use. She also hit out at assumptions that WAGs are often unemployed stay-at-home mums who don't 'have half a brain cell'. 'People have assumptions because we don't post our work, but how can people post their work when individuals do something like this?' she said. 'It's not fair.' Tier revealed in July that she moved in with Stone earlier this year and said they were 'putting together a rental prenup'. Tier's contract with the 23-year-old wasn't just about protecting property – it was also about preserving their romance. 'If you're living together for two months and your boyfriend starts farting, that's going to de-romanticise the relationship a lot, which is something I don't really want to happen,' Tier explained. 'So I would write in the prenup, "I don't want you to fart in front of me".' Tier has also hit out at the hate players' partners get online, revealing she had received comments like 'I thought WAGs were supposed to be skinny'. 'I actually made a video and before I posted it, I was like, "Oh, I actually feel fat in this",' she said. 'Within minutes of it being up, I got like five comments… people calling me fat and saying I don't fit, I guess, the WAG criteria.'

Reason why AFL WAG Paris Tier lost her sales job

The girlfriend of a professional athlete has revealed how she lost her job due to her rising profile on social media. Paris Tier, who is dating Greater Western Sydney Giants player Conor Stone, divulged on her WAG — Women and Goals podcast that her social media profile led to her being fired from her job. Ms Tier was working in sales merchandising, and part of her role led to her being contracted out at another businesses. At the time, she didn't have a lot of followers but her posts about what her life was like dating a professional athlete started to boost her profile. 'I started posting on TikTok a month into working this job, and I only had 2000 followers but my videos were averaging 30,000 views,' she told Ms Tier said she wasn't posting about her job, but about her relationship with Stone. She said it started off with mean comments, but things escalated when she posted a clip about an NRL player. After backlash, she deleted the video. 'I got a call from a colleague and she said, '[Our boss] has called me saying you can't work tomorrow because somebody has complained about your TikTok',' Ms Tier said. The AFL WAG was told the complaint was made not to her direct company, but the one that she was contracted to as part of her role. She asked the company's media and human resources if there were any issues with her social media, but neither department had any issues with the content. At the time, Ms Tier had annual leave planned due to a medical procedure so she went on two weeks worth of leave. 'I took the two weeks off because I needed this to calm down before I go back to work, because obviously not everyone loves social media, and if your boss read something that you did online they have to believe it in a way,' she said. 'I was a little bit disappointed because when I messaged [my boss] about it, she said it was nothing. She essentially lied to me.' During her time off, Ms Tier consulted an employment lawyer, received a probation update about why she 'wasn't the right fit for the role' and ultimately decided to leave the job. To this day, she has no idea where the complaint originated from or if it was even real. 'When this happened at work, I was in the state of mind of, 'Have I lost every opportunity to get a good job? Have I lost every opportunity to do a thing I love',' she recalled. 'And no, I haven't.' Ms Tier revealed she works in a completely new industry now, and really loves it, finding the workplace incredibly supportive. She said that contracts needed to highlight what issues they may have in regards to employee's social media presence, particularly as she never talked about the company online — barring the fact that it was on her LinkedIn profile. She said she hasn't added her latest workplace to her profile as she is scared it could happen again. Ms Tier added that there is a belief that many people in her position are unemployed. 'I don't think people realise, they see someone and think, 'Oh my god she's a stay-at-home mum, bet she doesn't have half a brain cell',' she said. 'That woman is 90 per cent of the time on maternity leave, or young enough to still be figuring out their life.' She said baseless assumptions about WAGs are 'not fair' and simply incorrect. 'People have assumptions because we don't post our work, but how can people post their work when individuals do something like this,' she said. 'It's not fair.'

WAG bans boyfriend from filthy act ahead of moving in together

An AFL WAG has created a list of rules for when she and her partner live together — and one clause bans him from a gross act. Tequila Tierra founder Paris Tier, who is dating Greater Western Sydney Giants player Conor Stone, has laid out the couple's set of rules ahead of them moving in together. 'Conor and I are moving in together, and while you guys might think I am dating him for his money, I put together a rental prenup,' she said in a TikTok video, essentially saying the couple set out rules for living together. She said having boundaries when it comes to living with a partner was important, and the situation was 100 per cent her idea. Ms Tier currently lives alone and only has to pay for herself. 'Bringing someone else into the situation — especially someone who eats the same as three people — my bills and everything are going to go up,' she said. 'Some of the things in this bill is our rental agreement, which covered who is going to pay for what.' She said as her boyfriend earns more than her, he will cover more. Ms Tier said that it was all about lifting each other up, and the prenup was there to reinforce that. 'For example, if you're living together for two months and your boyfriend starts farting in front of you — that's going to de-romanticise the relationship a lot,' she said. 'It's not really something I want to happen. So, I would write in the prenup 'I don't want you to fart in front of me'.' She said that was a 'huge no no' for her. The living agreement also dictates what chores each person would do. For example, Stone takes out the garbage and Ms Tier focuses on washing sheets and cooking. 'I think it's really important to set boundaries like this so that in a few months, when you enter the roommate stage, you can come back and reflect on that,' she said. 'Every relationship is different so it might not work for you, but it works for us.' Most people supported her thinking, saying it was incredibly important to have transparency and boundaries when living with a partner. 'Would love to know how you worked out your percentages for bills and rent etc. Also thank goodness I started farting before moving in together,' one said. Another added: 'Thankyou for speaking up about this. It ï¸doesn't matter if your partner has a cent to his name, the only certainty in life are death and taxes. Protect yourself about the rest.' 'Go girl - All for transparency and setting boundaries,' another said. One added: 'So smart girly.' 'Being smart about each others money is love beacause you care about each other hard earned money,' another commented.

Footy WAG exposes VERY unusual rule in 'prenup' with her AFL star boyfriend: 'People think I'm kidding, but this is a huge no-no!'

Paris Tier, the girlfriend of AFL player Conor Stone, has sparked debate by revealing that the couple have a 'rental prenup' that includes a ban on him farting in front of her. Tier, who is very open about the pitfalls of life dating a professional athlete, has raised eyebrows by sharing some of the rules they obey around the house. 'Conor and I are moving in together, and while you guys might be thinking I'm dating Conor for money, I'm putting together a rental prenup,' she told her TikTok followers. A prenuptial agreement, sometimes called a prenup, is a contract that outlines how assets will be split up in case of divorce. However, Tier's contract with the 23-year-old GWS Giants player isn't just about protecting property - it's also about preserving their romance. 'If you're living together for two months and your boyfriend starts farting, that's going to de-romanticise the relationship a lot, which is something I don't really want to happen,' Tier explained. 'So I would write in the prenup, "I don't want you to fart in front of me".' Tier stressed the importance of setting boundaries, maintaining that flatulence is strictly off the table. The footy WAG's comments sparked some debate in the comments section. 'Go girl! All for transparency and setting boundaries,' replied one follower. 'The farting one is so real! My ex did this so much when we lived together it was a huge turn off,' another person posted. Tier replied, 'People think I'm kidding, but this is a huge no no for me!! 'While Conor may fart in front of me, it gives me the 'ick' when it's 24/7.' Another commenter described Tier as a 'fruitloop' while yet another suggested her boyfriend should 'run a mile'. Tier also spoke about the couple's financial agreement, touching on the reality of living with an athlete who 'eats the same amount as three people combined'. 'Obviously Conor makes a little bit more money than me, so Conor will pay for more things,' she said. 'Being in a relationship means you have to hold each other up and pull each other together. 'This prenup is just there to make sure that we are really holding each other together.'
