The opening round promises thrilling on-track battles, as racers aim to make a strong start in the Novice Cup and the Continental GT Cup. With entries from across the country, from Jammu, Delhi, Sikkim, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, the stage is set for an exciting weekend of racing. For two-wheeler enthusiasts, the Continental GT Cup promises high-speed drama with its unique Pro-Am format, where amateur and professional riders compete together. At the end of the selection process, 24 of the fastest riders in Amateur and Pro each will race. The selected riders will now ride identical, race-tuned Continental GT-R650S. Now in its fifth year, the GT Cup continues to grow in popularity and intensity. The Novice Cup, introduced in 2018 as part of JKNRC, features Indian-made Formula cars and is considered the most sought-after entry-level single-seater category in the country, ideal for amateurs starting out in formula racing. The valuable experience of the team principals, combined with the passion and energy of these young drivers, is sure to make the races exciting and competitive. The 2025 season will witness 10 races of the Novice Cup and eight races of the RE GT Cup spread across three rounds, all scheduled to take place in Coimbatore. Royal Enfield has announced the 2025 edition of its Continental GT Cup. With this, the online rider registrations for the competition have begun. This year, the hunt for the budding racers has been extended to eight cities, which is a significant increase compared to the four cities covered last year. The zonal selection round for the competition will be held in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. This concluding selection phase is scheduled for July 3 to 6, 2025, at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. From this event, the fastest 24 riders from both categories will secure a position on the racing grid. Royal Enfield will maintain its Pro-Am format, which allows amateur riders to compete alongside professional ones. The Twin-Power Trophy is also returning; in this series, each professional racer will partner with an amateur rider to form a team, providing newcomers the chance to gain insights from the experienced racers. Royal Enfield initiated the Continental GT Cup in 2021 to enhance accessibility to track racing for both novice and seasoned riders. Those who qualify for the grid will compete on GT-R650 motorcycles, constructed with uniform specifications to emphasize rider skill above all.
