Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud vs Coop Original Adjustable: Which pillow for stomach sleeping should you buy?

But what if you're a natural stomach sleeper? The best mattresses for stomach sleepers are designed to maintain a healthy spinal alignment, minimizing the risk of getting back pain and aches due to a compromised sleeping position. However, it is crucial to pair it up with a mid or low loft pillow, as sleeping with your head at the wrong angle can quickly strain your neck muscles, leading to pain and, potentially, serious injury. In your search for a decent pillow that supports your stomach sleeping position, you might be tossing up between the Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud and Coop Original Adjustable — two plush fan favorites currently holding a spot each in our guide to the best pillows of the year. Here, we'll compare them against key performance indicators like price, comfort and support. Let's get started... Both the Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud and Coop Original are the most affordable pillows from their respective brands, and there isn't a great difference in price between the two. The Tempur-Cloud is available in two sizes: queen and king. The queen is priced at $89 while a king will cost you $109. The brand often runs a bundle sale on all pillows that drops the price of two queen Tempur-Cloud pillows from $178 to $119. Besides this standard deal, we've previously seen the Tempur-Cloud with up to 64% off and on a 'buy one get one free' sale during events like Memorial Day and Black Friday, which drops the price of a queen to $56.96. It's also worth looking up the Tempur-Cloud on Amazon, where you'll regularly find it at a lower price than at the Tempur store. However, unlike other pillows in the market, the Tempur-Cloud does not include a sleep trial, however you get a 5-year warranty and free shipping. The Coop Original Adjustable comes in three shape variants and two sizes: queen and king. The classic Original Adjustable is the cheapest of the lot starting from $85 for a queen while a king is priced at $99. The Coop Original is usually up to 20% off during major sale events which reduces the price of a queen to $68. And unlike the Tempur-Cloud, the Original Adjustable from Coop comes with a 100-night sleep trial as well as a 5-year warranty and free shipping. Considering both price and deals, the Coop Original seems to be the clear winner here, but let's continue to look at the other differences in detail. While both include memory foam, the Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud and Coop Adjustable are remarkably different in terms of design and build. The Tempur-Cloud consists of a single slab of extra soft Tempur foam encased in a hypoallergenic quilted polyester cover. The 5-inch tall pillow features gusseted sides that ensure it has an even height across the surface. You can find the Tempur-Cloud in two sizes (queen and king), with an option for hot sleepers to choose a cooling upgrade (at an additional cost of $20). The Coop Original Adjustable has a fully customizable memory foam and microfiber fill. It's a medium-soft to medium-firm pillow that comes with a half-pound bag of additional fill, so you can fluff it up or remove some to suit your sleeping position and preferences. It comes in a Lulltra fabric (a blend of polyester and bamboo-derived viscose) cover, which is stretchy, soft, breathable and machine-washable. One concern stomach sleepers might face with the Coop Original is the lack of a precise guide to the amount of fill to be added or removed for a particular sleeping style. This can result in multiple trial and error attempts, until you find what works for you. In terms of design, we think that out of the box, the Tempur-Cloud is a more suitable stomach sleeping pillow than the Coop Original. Our stomach sleeping tester was impressed by how the Tempur-Cloud kept her neck aligned with the spine, delivering both support and pressure relief. The mid to low loft Tempur-Cloud was effective in keeping her head from tilting upwards, which is often the issue when using pillows that are too tall. The temperature regulation, on the other hand, is a little lacking. She recommends hot sleepers to go for the cooling upgrade, as the Tempur foam has a tendency to trap heat. Considering all the factors, it was awarded an overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars in our Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud pillow review. In our review we concluded that this is an ideal pillow for all sleeping positions. Our combination sleeping tester (back and side), found it to be a plush and contouring headrest in every position. The key to making it work for you is to try and adjust the fill, which can be tricky to get right immediately. However, one disadvantage of the Coop Original is that it requires constant fluffing up to maintain its support and shape. It tends to flatten easily and hence might lack enough support for stomach sleeping all night. Like the Tempur-Cloud, the Coop also has a tendency to retain heat. Our tester points out in the Coop Original Adjustable Pillow review that hot sleepers are better off choosing the cooling alternative offered by the brand: the Cool+ Adjustable Pillow. Considering overall performance, we think the Tempur-Cloud does better when it comes to delivering the right balance of comfort and support for stomach sleeping. ✅ You're a stomach sleeper: The mid-loft Tempur-Cloud minimizes any risk to your neck while stomach sleeping and relieves any built-up tension. ✅ You struggle with neck pain: If you're a back sleeper who experiences neck pain, the mid-loft Tempur-Cloud offers the right comfort and support to soothe any aches or discomfort. ✅ You need a portable pillow: Our tester was impressed by how you can pack up and compress your Tempur-Cloud, due to its travel-friendly design. ✅ You're a combination sleeper: The Coop Original is ideal for anyone who is not a dedicated stomach sleeper and shifts their position during the night. ✅ You want a pillow with a sleep trial: Coop is a bedding brand that sets the bar high for pillow benefits with a 100-night sleep trial, 5-year warranty and free shipping. ✅ You need customizable firmness: Thanks to the adjustable fill, you can change the firmness and feel of your Coop pillow to suit your sleeping preferences.

I test bedding for a living — the one pillow I recommend for all sleep styles is on sale for Memorial Day
Being a bedding writer, I've had the chance to research and test a wide variety of pillows and I think I've found the one that suits just about any kind of sleeper — the Coop Original Adjustable now 20% off at Coop Sleep Goods, dropping the MSRP of a queen from $85 to $68. The Coop Original Adjustable pillow earned a worthy spot in our guide to the best pillows we've tried this year. It's an excellent all-rounder that's both high quality and adjustable, meaning no matter your body type or sleeping position, it's likely to suit your sleep and support your body. And with the Memorial Day mattress and bedding sales in full swing, you can now get up to $20 off, which is one of the best discounts we've seen on the Original Adjustable pillow so far. I've been sleeping on it for over two weeks, here's why I think it's worth the investment. Coop Sleep Goods Original Adjustable: queen was $85 now $68 at Coop Sleep GoodsThe Original Adjustable is Coop's solution to the endless trial and error of finding the right pillow for your sleeping style. During our Coop Original Adjustable Pillow, our lead reviewer was impressed with its customizable comfort and support for every sleeping position. All you have to do is simply add or remove the unique blend of contouring memory foam and soft microfiber fill, which is encased in a breathable Lulltra fabric cover (a mix of polyester and bamboo-derived rayon). The current 20% off deal is the largest saving we have spotted on the Original Adjustable, dropping the MSRP of a queen pillow form $85 to $68 while a king size will cost you $79.20 (was $99). This also includes the brand's industry-best bedding benefits: 100-night trial, 5-year warranty and free shipping. Our review: ★★★★User score: ★★★★½ (4.7 rating based on 17K+ reviews) I recently went hands-on with the Original again to re-asses its performance and I loved the soft, plush yet supportive feel of it. The pillow keeps your head, neck and shoulders in perfect alignment with the rest of your body, so I never woke up with aches or pains. One concern I noted was how the memory foam fill was prone to overheating, and thus not a great option for hot sleepers. If you experience hot flashes or night sweats, consider investing in the cooling alternative below. Coop Cool+ Adjustable pillow: queen was $145 now $116 at CoopThe Coop Cool is made from cooling-gel infused foam and fiber blend, as well as a cool-to-touch cover designed to give you the 'cool side of the pillow' feel all night. You can also get 20% off this model in the Memorial Day sales, which drops the price of a queen from $145 to $116 for a queen. You'll get the same benefits as the Original Adjustable.

I tried an adjustable pillow and have never slept better — here's what happened
Finding the right pillow for your sleeping style and body type can take a lot of trial and error (which can also translate to a lot of unnecessary pillow purchases!). But what if I told you there is one that suits all? Fill: Memory foam and microfiberBest for: All sleepersFirmness: Adjustable Warranty: 5 year limitedMSRP: from $85 at Coop We're in the process of retesting one of this year's best pillows for all sleepers, the Coop Original Adjustable in the 'classic' shape, which means I've been sleeping on it for a week now. Like a traditional pillow, it's aim is to keep your neck and shoulders in alignment with your spine, but you can also customize it to your personal requirements, thanks to it's adjustable fill of cross-cut memory foam pieces and microfiber. So far, I'm impressed by the cushioning comfort it delivers. With the Memorial Day mattress sales seeing big discounts across all things sleep, including pillows, bedding and tech, not to mention some of this year's best mattresses, so it's a great time to refresh your bedroom set up. If you're considering investing in the Coop Original Adjustable Pillow, read on for my experience. Coop Sleep Goods is a popular bedding brand specializing in adjustable pillows and mattress protectors that are high quality with a reasonable price tag. The Original Adjustable pillow comes in three different shapes, the 'classic,' (that we're retesting here) the 'crescent' and the 'cut out.' The classic shape is the brand's most affordable adult pillow, and is available on both their official website and retailers like Amazon. The MSRP has, however, significantly increased from $59.99 for a queen (when we first reviewed it a few years ago) to $85, while a king is currently priced at $99. Coop does offer discounts throughout the year during major holidays, and right now there's 20% off their pillows in anticipation of the Memorial Day weekend. This drops the the price of a queen down to $68, which is a reasonable discount, but it's important to note that it's still more expensive than it's previous MSRP (which we had seen discounted in previous sales, too). Price hikes aside, Coop does offer excellent benefits for bedding, including a 100-night sleep trial (where you can return your pillow for free within 100 days if you're unsatisfied with your purchase), a 5-year limited warranty and free shipping. Coop Original Adjustable Pillow (classic): was from $85 now from $68 at Coop Sleep GoodsThe Coop Original Adjustable Pillow in the classic shape is available to buy in two sizes: queen and king. The MSRP of a queen is $85 while a king is priced at $99. But there's 20% off inf the current Memorial Day sale, bringing a queen down to $68 and a king to $79.20. Benefits include a 100-night sleep trial, 5-year warranty and free shipping. The Coop Original Adjustable pillow arrived in a cardboard box, rolled and vacuum sealed in plastic, like the best mattresses in a box. The pillow quickly unfurled once out of the plastic, but it did need to be fluffed up to fully expand. The brand suggests either allowing a day for the pillow to fully expand or putting it in dryer for 10 minutes to fluff it up. I opted to wait a day, (and did notice some off-gassing during this time but it was not particularly strong), after which it was all ready to be slept on. The pillow also arrives with an additional bag of fill so you can adjust it, if required, to suit your sleeping preferences. We reviewed the Coop Original Adjustable Pillow last year, but retesting it was my first time trying out an adjustable pillow, and I was a little skeptical about whether it would be right for me. To my surprise, the Coop Original Adjustable pillow felt perfectly plush, yet supportive. So much so that I decided not to adjust the fill at all. The feather-like softness and sink-in cushioning of the microfiber and memory foam fill cradled my head and neck well, and I drifted off into a relaxing sleep easily on the first night. While it's designed for all sleeping positions, I found it almost perfect for me the way it arrived without having to adjust the fill. I'm a combination sleeper but spend most of the night on my side, and the plush feel let me sink into the pillow, but still kept me supported. However, as an adjustable pillow, you can remove or add fill, there's the option to make it firmer, softer and increase or decrease the loft, which means people with different sleeping styles to me can (as the name suggests!) adjust it to suit them. I've been sleeping on the Coop Original Adjustable in the classic shape for a week now and I think it's the comfiest pillow I've ever tried. It also effectively aligns my head, neck and shoulders with the rest of my body, meaning no joint or muscle is under particular strain during the night. On the fourth night, I did adjust the fill by adding more from the bag (about a quarter of the additional fill provided) to see if it made any difference. Despite having a good sleep experience without adjusting it, adding the fill created an even more supportive pillow. It still felt cushioning, but firmer at the same time — I'd say my adjustments changed this pillow from soft to medium-soft. Throughout the week, I was more than comfortable sleeping both on my back and side with this pillow. I also never felt hot or found the pillow stuffy, thanks to the breathable cover made from Lulltra fabric (a blend of 60% polyester and 40% rayon) and the airflow that the fill allows. One issue I did have is that the Coop Original Adjustable requires regular fluffing to maintain its shape and support. While I didn't find this severely impacted my sleep during the first week, it's possible my opinion on this may change over time. Stay tuned for the full review of this pillow to find out. After sleeping on the Coop Original Adjustable Pillow for a week, I think it's an ideal choice for all sleepers, but especially side and back sleepers. Using it as it arrived and adding a quarter of the additional fill provided a softness and subtle support that suited my sleeping style. While it did not trap heat at any point, at this stage I would say it's better to opt for a dedicated cooling pillow like the Coop Cool+ if you're a hot sleeper or experience night sweats or hot flashes. Read out full Coop Edencool Adjustable Pillow review to find out more. I need more time to assess the Coop Original Adjustable pillow, and will be reviewing it in full, but based on my first-week testing experience and the vast online reviews (on the Coop site the pillow has 4.7/5 stars from more than 17,000 reviews), I think this pillow delivers on its promises and more.
