'Goodbye for now': Popular Glasgow pub 'shuts doors'
The Great Western Road bar has shut up shop until next month as they undergo some 'exciting changes'.
Coopers is being refurbished and will have a 'big re-opening' on July 9, 2025.
They announced the closure on social media, saying: "We'll be saying goodbye for a little while as we make some exciting changes here at the Coopers.
"Keep checking here for updates on the changes and the plans for our exciting relaunch.
"The team can't wait to welcome you back at the end of the month.
"Our big re-opening is on the 9th July.
"Make sure to put it in the calendar!
"See you then with our fresh new look! Goodbye for now, Coopers."

Built in 1921, the historic pub started life as an upmarket grocery store and is a firm favourite for West End revellers.
Some fans of the boozer commented on the news, one said: "Bring back the surfboards, the kangaroo is on Queen Margaret Drive and get the burgers back!"
Another gushed: "Good luck Cam and team. Excited to see the transformation."
The pub was previously Cooper and Co's high-class grocery shop, which introduced fancy Italian coffee machines to Glaswegians.
