Family tributes to 'beautiful boy' killed in crash by Corhampton

The family of one of two teens who died after a car hit a tree have said they are "heartbroken" as they remember their "beautiful boy".Damien Dean, 16, from Denmead was driving a Hyundai I20 close to the villages of Corhampton and Meonstoke at 02:47 BST on Sunday, according to and his 17-year-old passenger, Mason Renhard from Eastleigh, were pronounced dead at the scene on Corhampton Lane after they crashed into a Dean's family said the teen, lovingly known as Damo, "was taken from us far too soon". In the tribute to their loved one they said: "Damo was one of a kind — warm, caring, and full of life. He would do anything for his friends, and his loyalty knew no limits."He didn't just have friends — he collected hearts. Whether it was through a laugh, a conversation, or simply being there when someone needed him, he made people feel truly loved. His circle of friends was wide, and they all knew how lucky they were to have him."The family said that he was passionate about music and "loved beyond measure and missed beyond words".They added: "He leaves behind a family who adored him beyond words: his five siblings — Ashleigh, Mercedez, Lucifer, Jay, and Megan — each holding precious memories of their brother's laughter, kindness, and cheeky grin. The bond they shared is unbreakable and eternal."Damien may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts."Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact the force. Two teenage boys who died after the car they were in car smashed into a tree have been pictured have been pictured for the first time. Damien 'Damo' Dean, 16 and Mason Renhard, 17, suffered fatal injuries during the collision and were pronounced dead at the scene. Hampshire Police said that Damien was driving the grey Hyundai I20 and Mason was in the passenger seat when the car crashed in the early hours of Sunday morning. Heartbreaking handwritten tributes from the boys' families have since been left at the scene in Corhampton, Hampshire. Officers were called to a road in the village at 2.47am following reports that a vehicle had struck a tree. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, both boys were pronounced dead at the scene. In a handwritten note, one set of parents wrote: 'My baby boy, I can't believe I am writing this. We love you so much and I will see you again.' A sibling penned a tribute that said they hoped their brother was 'having fun in the stars' and that they 'miss him so much with all' of their heart. A second note from other family members said: 'Words cannot explain the pain that we are feeling and will carry forever.' Tributes have also poured in on social media as locals speak of the 'terrible tragedy' which is 'every parent's worse nightmare'. Annabelle Jackman said that the boys were 'chilling' at her house on Saturday afternoon and said that her son went to school with the 'two lads'. 'My heart breaks for their parents to lose their children in such awful tragedy,' she said on social media. Pauline O'Connor commented: 'May they rest in peace and may their families find comfort in the memories they shared.' Julia Styles called the situation 'an absolute tragedy' and said the teens have had their lives 'so tragically and terribly cut short'. Councillor Malcolm Wallace, Hampshire County councillor for Meon Valley, said that he wanted to add his 'condolences to all of those involved'. 'It's a terrible situation and my thoughts go out to the family and friends for those affected,' he said. Officers said Mason is from Eastleigh and Damien is from the village of Denmead, near Portsmouth. In a statement, the police said: 'Their families have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. 'Our investigation is ongoing and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has relevant dash cam footage capturing the incident or the moments leading up to it. A passer-by came across the wrecked grey Hyundai i20 with the two boys' bodies inside shortly after 2.45am on Sunday in Corhampton, Hampshire. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the two teens were pronounced dead at the scene. Their families have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, the Hampshire Constabulary said. Floral tributes have been been left at the scene while Winchester City Councillor Danny Lee paid tribute saying his 'thoughts are with the families at the moment'. Speaking to the Daily Echo, Mr Lee said: 'My heartfelt feelings go to the family and community and obviously all friends who know the family. 'This is a tragic situation with youngsters cut down in their prime, it's beggars belief really. 'Our roads, our back lanes are not the safest roads in the world. People need to take care and I have no idea what happened here, but all I can say is my thoughts are in the family at the moment.' A pathologist is to carry out post mortem examinations on their bodies and the Mid-Hampshire coroner will open and adjourn an inquest into their deaths later in the week. A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: 'Officers are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal collision in Corhampton.
