Dovbyk returns to group training
Artem Dovbyk is ready to return to the pitch. After missing the first test of the season against Trastevere due to a minor muscle strain, the Ukrainian striker will return to the squad tomorrow, ready to resume training with Gasperini's team, reports Corriere dello Sport. Having arrived last year for €30.5 million, Dovbyk finished the season with 17 goals overall, but failed to shine in the most important matches. Now, with the arrival of a direct competitor like Evan Ferguson, the challenges are increasing. And the former Girona player is called upon to provide answers. With Gasperini, all the conditions for a leap in quality are in place. Now it's up to him.

Inter Milan, Parma & Eintracht Frankfurt Stars Top List Of Midfield Targets For Pioli's Fiorentina
Kristjan Asllani, Adrian Bernabe, Simon Sohm, and Hugo Larsson are on Stefano Pioli's midfield shortlist at FIorentina. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Stefano Pioli has returned as Fiorentina coach. And one of the first orders of business for the veteran coach will be to shore up La Viola's midfield. Above all, the Tuscan club need a holding midfielder. And Pioli's preference is for a deep-lying playmaker. That would be important for him to implement his style of play at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Asllani, Bernabe, Sohm & Larsson On Pioli Midfield Shortlist According to the Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina's top target in midfield would be Parma's Adrian Bernabe. However, the Gialloblu are seeking a fee of €25 million for the Spaniard. Similarly, Inter want €18-20 million for Kristjan Asllani, another top target for Pioli. Then, another Parma midfielder, Simon Sohm, is also a target for Fiorentina. The Emilian club would demand a fee of around €12 million for Sohm. That is within reach for Fiorentina. However, Sohm is more of a purely defensive midfielder. Lastly, an ambitious target for La Viola would be Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Larsson. The 21-year-old Swedish international would cost €25 million, but would add qualities both defensively and in possession.

Report – Shock Inter Milan Move For Atalanta Star Doesn't Mean France International Will Leave
Inter Milan moving for Atalanta's Ademola Lookman does not mean that striker Marcus Thuram will leave this summer. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. In the last couple of days, reports have emerged that Inter Milan are pushing to sign Ademola Lookman. The Nerazzurri have reportedly already made their opening offer to Atalanta. Inter are willing to invest big to sign Lookman. The Corriere report that they've bid €40 million, whilst Atalanta wants €50 million. Therefore, that raises a couple big questions. Firstly, of where Inter will get the cash from. They've already made a few notable signings this summer without first making sales. Therefore, Inter might well have to start bringing in cash the other way if they're to make a big move like signing Lookman. Then, there is also the question of the tactical fit of the squad. Inter would have quite a few strikers vying for starting spots next season, even if they switch to a 3-4-2-1 shape under Cristian Chivu. Report – Inter Move For Ademola Lookman Doesn't Mean Marcus Thuram Leaves There would seem to be one particularly logical candidate to leave to make room for Lookman. A few signs point to Marcus Thuram. The Frenchman could certainly fetch a large fee if he is for sale, and all of that would be pure capital gain for Inter after they signed him on a free transfer. Therefore, the rumour mill has started up that Thuram may make way. However, reports the Corriere, Inter have no intention of getting rid of the former Borussia Monchengladbach striker. Inter's intention is to both keep Thuram and sign Lookman for an attack with more depth than ever.

Inter Milan are reportedly keen to sign RB Leipig striker Lois Openda, and could make an offer of €35 million for the Belgian. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement Inter Milan are still thinking about how they'll complete their attack for next season. The Nerazzurri have signed Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma already. Meanwhile, teenage striker Francesco Pio Esposito will have a place in the Nerazzurri's senior squad next campaign. However, on the other hand, Inter are certainly looking to offload Mehdi Taremi. And they will look to sign a forward with a different profile to replace the Iranian international. (Photo by) According to the Corriere dello Sport, RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda has come onto Inter's radar. The 25-year-old is not quite the profile that the Nerazzurri reportedly prefer. He is more of a second striker or even an out-and-out centre-forward, rather than an attacking midfielder. Advertisement Still, Inter have long been admirers of Lois Openda. And the Belgian's qualities still convince them. Therefore, if the Nerazzurri feel Openda is available, they may move for him this summer. Inter would be ready to offer €30-35 million for a striker this summer if they find the right profile. And that could be in the region of what Leipzig want for Openda. The Corriere report that Inter could offer an initial loan deal with a purchase option or obligation.
