Sadie Sink cast as Mayday Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to build hype with major casting rumors. According to Jeff Sneider via The Hot Mic, Sadie Sink is set to play Mayday Parker, a character tied to the multiverse and reportedly the daughter of Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker and MJ Watson. The film will reportedly bridge Tom Holland's MCU Spider-Man with legacy elements from previous universes. Mayday Parker's inclusion is a multiversal twist connecting to Maguire's Spider-Man timeline — raising fan theories about cross-generational web-slingers uniting. Meanwhile, Sarah Snook (Succession, The Beanie Bubble) is rumored to portray a secondary villain. Her character remains under wraps, but a recent Cosmic Circus report teased a 'dark, mysterious female' with Japanese shinobi/samurai-inspired armor, hinting at a potentially original or deep-cut Marvel character. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will follow the events of Avengers: Doomsday, with Peter Parker attempting to lead a normal life before a new threat forces his return to heroism. Destin Daniel Cretton will direct, with a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Filming begins August 2025 in the UK, and the film is slated to release July 31, 2026. The cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sink, and Liza Colón-Zayas in undisclosed roles. Marvel Studios is also casting two additional villain roles.

Zendaya Is Set To Star In Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day But There's A Catch
Last Updated: Unlike previous movies in the franchise where the actress played a major role as MJ, this time, her on-screen presence will be significantly smaller. Spidey fans assemble! There are finally some updates regarding the highly anticipated fourth instalment of the Spider-Man film, officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While it's usually the lead actor Tom Holland who slips up information about his films, this time there are reports already circulating in the media about his fiancee and co-star Zendaya's return to the film, but not without a little surprise. According to a recent report by Cosmic Circus, Zendaya is set to appear in the upcoming film. However, unlike previous movies in the franchise where the actress played a major role as MJ, this time, her on-screen presence will be significantly smaller. As reported, Zendaya has been roped in for a minor role in Brand New Day. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set between two big upcoming Marvel movies, Avengers: Doomsday, starring Robert Downey Jr., and Avengers: Secret Wars. This means Tom Holland's next in the Spider-Man series will play a key role in connecting the two Avengers movies. The 28-year-old English actor was the one who confirmed the new Spider-Man film during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Sharing that they would be kicking off the shooting in 2025 summer, Tom said, 'It's happening. Next summer we start shooting. Everything's good to go. We're nearly there. It's super exciting. Yeah, I can't wait." Earlier this month, director Destin Daniel Cretton revealed the name and announced the production timeline of Spider-Man 4 at CinemaCon. He also teased fans regarding the surprises they could expect and even brought Tom on-screen virtually for them as they could not attend the event due to his work commitments. In a video shown at CinemaCon, the 28-year-old actor said, 'I know we left you with a massive clip hanger at the end of 'No Way Home,' so 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That's all I can say. That's all I've been allowed to say. And I'm well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don't be worried. I'm not going to do that today." Speaking of Tom, the actor is currently shooting for The Odyssey, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan. The film will also feature Matt Damon, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway in key roles alongside him. While The Odyssey is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2026, in the US, Tom's Spider-Man will hit the theatres shortly after on July 31, 2026.
