Chaos As Dogs and Cat Try To Get Through Doorway—but There's One Problem

In a viral TikTok video, a pet owner pranks their rescue dogs and cat with an "invisible" trap, and internet users can't cope with the animals' reactions. The hilarious clip, shared in July by @furoship, shows the pets walking into the corridor to a plastic-wrapped doorway, unable to move forward without getting stuck in the film. "Invisible wall PRANK on my dogs and cat," the caption reads. The smaller of the two dogs soon begins sniffing around the film wrap, managing to escape quite easily by going underneath. Meanwhile the bigger dog, a border collie, stands back wondering how to get past the obstacle. The cat also struggles to escape in the beginning, but after investigating the invisible wall further, it finally makes its way out from underneath the film, just like the first pup did. With the border collie still trapped behind the plastic wall, the other two pets go back to help, even cutting a hole in the film wrap to make the escape easier. But it continues to fail to realize the solution to the problem, walking off dramatically as it struggles to get past the wrap before finally spotting the hole and walking through. While their abilities are often underestimated, dogs are very smart creatures. Their intelligence is usually compared to that of a two-year-old human toddler, making them one of the smartest species in the animal kingdom. On average, dogs understand approximately 165 words or gestures; however, some have been known to learn as many as 1,000. Some breeds are generally smarter than others. According to Countryside Veterinary Service, the number one most intelligent dog breed in the world is, coincidentally, the border collie. Despite the pup in the video not being able to figure out his escape from the plastic wall, this breed actually has incredible abilities to focus and is also considered to be the best herding dog. But being so intelligent also comes with its disadvantages. These dogs will need a lot of entertainment throughout the day to avoid boredom, which can lead to destructive behaviors. The German shepherd is second on the list, followed by poodle, Australian shepherd, and golden retriever. A stock image shows three small dogs hanging out together indoors. One user, Leigh Ann Carroll, commented: "The other animals showing him how to do it... But the Dramatic Walkoffs were my fav!" Trent said: "This needs to be a major motion picture! I was enthralled!" AntBee joked: "The whole thing was scripted, with choreography and countless rehearsals. I'm positive there were stunt doubles too." Newsweek reached out to @furoship for comment via TikTok comments. Woman Sleeps at Guy's House—What Golden Retriever Does Next Day Goes Viral

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. In a viral TikTok video, a young woman spends the night at a date's house, only to wake up the next day to his golden retriever doing something hilarious. The clip, shared in April under the username @divacookiemonster, shows the golden retriever standing on the bed right in front of the owner, bringing over her trousers, as if signaling that it is time to leave. "That one time I stayed at a guy's house and his dog literally brought me my pants the next morning," the poster writes in the clip. "Well trained," she adds in the caption. Golden retrievers are among the most-intelligent dog breeds, according to Countryside Veterinary Service, which places them fifth place on its list. Golden retrievers are friendly, trusted family companions, known for their affectionate, outgoing personality. As a sporting breed, they also enjoy activities such as long runs, bike rides, hunting, and fetching a tennis ball or Frisbee. Golden retrievers need lots of daily exercise to let out their energy, and prevent undesirable behaviors, keeping your pup happy and healthy. Easily adaptable and exceptionally child-friendly, these dogs also get along very well with strangers, with other dogs, and even with cats. The American Kennel Club (AKC) says that golden retrievers are eager to please, and easily trainable, and their training should begin as soon as you bring your puppy home, with group-based puppy kindergarten and basic obedience. Their coat will require routine trimming and grooming, and they will also need nail trimming, teeth and ear cleaning, shampooing, bathing and drying. Because their coat blows approximately twice a year, you should never shave them. Stock image: A golden retriever poses for the camera indoors. One user, TeeWhy, commented: "He said checkout time was at 8 let's get a move on." Kayla posted: "Bet his owner has taught him this so he doesn't have to awkwardly ask you to leave." Another user, Semidead_ wrote: "He's not even looking at you, clearly bro wants you OUT." Ms. Ford added: "It's the lack of eye contact, he said 'I can't get attached.'" Owner Thinks They've Outsmarted Their German Shepherd—but They Haven't

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A dog owner from Texas thought they had outsmarted their German shepherd in a viral TikTok video, but the canine immediately proved them wrong. The hilarious clip shared on Saturday under the username @omg_william, shows the poster holding a popcorn under a glass table, trying to fool their pup into licking the surface without actually getting a taste. However, thanks to her foolproof nose, the dog immediately calls out her owner's game, moving their hand away with her paw to get her very well-deserved snack. "I thought I outsmarted a German shepherd," reads layover text in the clip, and a caption says: "She solved it way before I could have." Fooling a German shepherd is actually harder than it may seem, since they are among the most-intelligent dog breeds in the world. Countryside Veterinary Service places German shepherds second on the list of smartest dog breeds, coming after Border collies. German shepherds were initially bred in Germany in the late 1800s to guard and protect sheep. They are gentle and devoted family pets, but also fearless dogs with a natural instinct to protect their family. German shepherds make great companions as long as they receive enough exercise and playtime to let out their energy throughout the day. Their intelligence and adaptability also makes them great working dogs; in fact, they are quite well known for their work with the military and the police. While German shepherds are known for their famous black-and-tan coat, there are actually 10 other officially recognized colors, including black; black and cream; black and red; black and silver; gray; sable; white; liver; blue; and bicolor, says the American Kennel Club (AKC). Another user, Blackacre1808, wrote: "She was like 'bish please!! momma ain't raise no fool.'" Silencegalore added: "My dog would simply break the table."
