Kofi Kingston files formal complaint against WWE referee after RAW chaos

Image via WWE In a surprising turn of events following WWE RAW on June 2, World Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston took to social media to announce that he had filed an official complaint against referee Jessika Carr. The incident occurred during a tag team match involving The War Raiders and Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, where Kingston and Xavier Woods were present at ringside. As part of the New Day's usual antics, Kofi and Woods stirred up some ringside mischief - something that didn't sit well with Carr. In a swift move, the referee ejected both tag champs from ringside, a decision that left Kofi visibly frustrated. Hours later, the veteran WWE Superstar took to X (formerly Twitter) to make his stance clear. 'Let the record show: I have just filed an official complaint about the heinous and overreaching actions of @WWELadyRefJess tonight,' Kingston wrote. Referee Jessika Carr hits back with no regrets Referee Jessika Carr didn't let the criticism go unanswered. In a confident response, she posted, 'Complain all you want my friend, but the official has the final word. Sorry, not sorry…..pal. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Better luck next time.' While Carr's tweet was met with support from many fans, others took the opportunity to stir the pot, reigniting debates about officiating decisions in WWE. One user commented, 'Good call Jess!' while another fan humorously added, 'I'm writing a letter and sending it to corporate too. Snail mail.' Amid the ringside chaos, Judgment Day capitalized. Roxanne Perez, the group's newest ally, distracted The War Raiders at a crucial moment, giving Balor the opening to land his signature Coup de Grace and secure the win for his team. While neither team has officially been announced as No. 1 contenders yet, the win puts Balor and McDonagh in a strong position to challenge Kingston and Woods for the World Tag Team Championships in the near future. Roxanne Perez helps Judgment Day defeat War Raiders: Raw highlights, June 2, 2025 Will WWE respond to Kofi Kingston's complaint? As of now, WWE has not issued any formal response to Kingston's complaint, nor has on-screen authority figure Adam Pearce commented on the matter. However, fans online are watching closely. Some believe this could be the start of a larger storyline, especially with Judgment Day potentially eyeing the tag titles and tensions between teams reaching a boiling point. Others see this as a playful jab by Kingston, who is known for blending humor and theatrics into his performances - both in the ring and online. Still, the fact that the complaint was made 'official' adds a layer of intrigue. WWE's history of incorporating real-time fan interactions and social media moments into ongoing feuds means this incident could escalate quickly in the coming weeks. Whether it results in a disciplinary hearing, a comedic backstage segment, or adds fuel to an upcoming tag team feud, Kofi's actions have once again put New Day in the spotlight. With Jessika Carr holding her ground and Judgment Day gaining momentum, the tag division may be heading into a volatile phase. For now, fans will have to wait and see if Kingston's formal protest leads to any consequences - or if it's simply another example of WWE's chaos unfolding both inside and outside the ring.

WrestleMania fan run over by a golf cart carrying WWE star Dom Mysterio in shocking backstage moment

One WWE fan's night hit a bit of a bump at WrestleMania 41 when they were plowed down by Dominik Mysterio. 'Dirty Dom,' the son of legend Rey Mysterio, claimed the WWE Intercontinental Championship Sunday night after beating Finn Balor, Bron Breakker and Penta in a four-way match. But the wrestler's celebrations were cut short when his golf cart shockingly hit a member of the audience. The 28-year-old was cruising around outside Allegiant Stadium, showing off his strap to his adoring fans. However, a throng of supporters rushed towards his cart to catch a glimpse of his new hardware, with one getting a little too close. A video shared to social media caught one woman being clipped by the front of the vehicle, sending her flying. Dominik Mysterio claimed the WWE Intercontinental Championship Sunday night As Mysterio celebrated his win, his golf cart plowed into one of his fans, sending her flying The driver did reportedly stop to check on the fallen woman but her condition is currently unknown. It was just the single blemish in an otherwise perfect night for Mysterio after his triumph in the ring. In the four-way clash, the action got underway just as fast as the two matches before it with Penta soaring through the air and Bron Breakker meeting him with a spear mid-air. Dirty Dom got the same treatment. Breakker, the defending champion, then German suplexed both Penta and Dom at the same time. Mysterio managed to hit the three amigos on Penta with the help of Balor as the Judgement Day started working together in earnest. That was until Breakker suplexed them both. The crowd popped huge when Dom Mysterio finally went for Balor and attempted to land a 619, but Balor cut him off at the last second. Carlito was going to help his Judgement Day brothers and put Penta through a table, but he was promptly speared through a table by Breakker and put out of commission. Back in the ring, Dom hit a 619 on the champion only for Balor to interrupt. He hit the Coup de Grace, but Dom followed with a frog splash to steal the victory, much to the delight of the Las Vegas crowd.

WrestleMania 41 results: Dominik Mysterio betrays Finn Balor, steals WWE Intercontinental title in wild fatal 4-way

"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio lived up to his nickname on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41. The son of WWE legend Rey Mysterio turned on his The Judgement Day stablemate Finn Balor and stole away the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Sunday night, winning a wild fatal four-way match that also featured incumbent champion Bron Breakker and Penta at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Though Mysterio and Balor worked in tandem throughout the first half of the match, that changed midway through when Mysterio betrayed Balor, leading to a match-ending sequence that saw Balor nail Breakker with a nasty Coup de Grace then go for the three-count — only for Mysterio to dive in from the top rope at the final second and slam both men with a frog splash, before pinning Balor to claim the belt. WWE Raw results, highlights (Feb. 17): Seth Rollins, Roxanne Perez head to the Elimination Chamber

Everybody loves WWE's Elimination Chamber. The big, brutal consolation match to the Royal Rumble is equally, if not more, of a fun time. And on Monday's edition of "WWE Raw," we finally got the final two names heading into the March 1 showcase. Remember, whoever wins the men's Elimination Chamber will go on to challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, while the women's winner will battle either Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky, depending on who wins Ripley vs. Sky next week on "WWE Raw." Until then, WWE's Monday night main events, in particular, continue to dish out banger after banger. This intense, maniacal leader Finn Balor is one of my favorite versions of him in recent memory. I dare say since the heights of when 'The Demon' was utilized. You know, until it was utterly ruined in those Roman Reigns and Edge matches. I know that the Edge match at WrestleMania wasn't a booking fault, but still. The point is that Balor should be picking up more wins for how great of character work he's produced. Realistically, there was no logic behind him getting an Elimination Chamber opportunity against Seth Rollins after losing his tag-team titles and then a match to Damian Priest. Of course, he was going to lose. That's what this guy does. However, the match slapped, so I'll allow it. Esta caída de Seth Rollins que casi aprovecha Finn Bálor para ganar el combate con el Coup de Grace. Qué frenesí. #WWERAW — LuigiWrestling (@LuigiWrestling) February 18, 2025 These two always put on a good match. Balor even hit a Pedigree in the early moments of the match. I can't say that was on my 2025 bingo card. Ultimately, we hilariously got a botch on a great sequence when Rollins had Balor in a Sharpshooter before turning it into a Pedigree. Balor didn't kick out fast enough, making the ref hold back. Either way, that would have been a superb finish. It didn't matter. They still made magic when Rollins ate a Coup de Grace, countering it with a crucifix pin that was kicked out of. Balor locked on a Crossface, they rolled, Rollins escaped and hit the Curb Stomp. Talk about a great save. Seth Rollins VENCE a Finn Bálor con el Stomp en un GRAN combate y es el último clasificado para la #WWEChamber masculina, tras un final loco en el que pudo ganar Bálor Cena. CM Punk. Drew McIntyre. Logan Paul. Damian Priest. Y Seth Rollins. #WWERAW — LuigiWrestling (@LuigiWrestling) February 18, 2025 If there's one thing that can't be denied, 'WWE Raw's' main events in the Netflix era are delivering. Rollins rounds out the men's Elimination Chamber match, and I'm fascinated to see how he and CM Punk's story continues to unravel. The Elimination Chamber matches were set on this 'WWE Raw.' Former NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez rounds out the group in what will be her first appearance. She deserves it and is a fresh addition to the stipulation. Unfortunately, we got to her victory via stupid booking. Raquel Rodriguez was dominant early in her match with Perez and looked strong. I'll repeat: Rodriguez needs to be separated from Liv Morgan because she's better than this sidekick 'enforcer who always loses role.' If we're being sincere too, that role is so bogus. Imagine if that's how Batista was booked in the prime of Evolution. Earlier in the night, there was more discension teased between The Judgment Day as Finn Balor and Rodriguez got confrontational. So, hopefully, it happens soon. Who will earn the final spot at #WWEChamber?! — WWE (@WWE) February 18, 2025 Perez's victory came thanks to a distraction from Bianca Belair and Naomi, who attacked Morgan after the speculation that they had attacked Jade Cargill. Aside from dragging on this Cargill nonsense and making Rodriguez look beyond stupid, this made Perez look weak and like she needed help. That's not an ideal way to build a blatant budding star. How are we supposed to believe she'll even be competitive in a match like the Elimination Chamber after a win like that? Gunther's comment that he's tired of wrestling people who 'can't lace his boots' is perfect because it is so true, especially against Jey Uso. I'm sorry, not sorry. There are levels between the ropes, and we have seen it. Overall, Gunther cutting his promo through the concessions and out through the crowd to mock Uso was awesome. "The Ring General" is clearly having fun with the extension of this program. It becomes increasingly apparent each week that Uso will win, though. Everything has been laid out to try and replicate those Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston or Sami Zayn moments. Again, the latter was against Gunther, which is kind of brutal. But there's potential to take that somewhere brilliant at WrestleMania 42 in 2026. So, when you think long-term, I think it can be more enjoyable than what we're currently witnessing. Aw, hell..... 😂😂😂#RawonNetflix — WWE (@WWE) February 18, 2025 Uso eventually came out to prevent Gunther from smashing Pat McAfee because of his faith in Uso. I hope their interactions can provide more than just brawls because I'm burnt out after Owens-Cody Rhodes and the Death Riders doing it every single week. If the history between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens hadn't been as well told as it is, this sudden intensity would have felt incredibly rushed. But this all calculates to a pleasant crescendo after Zayn opened 'WWE Raw.' He brought up their history and won't be able to forget about what Owens has done. The passion between Zayn and Pearce was strong in this segment, elevating it as a solid but short opener. Zayn wanted Owens then and there, but they'll head to Elimination Chamber for an unsanctioned match. Because, you know, Zayn can't technically compete since he's kayfabe uncleared. Pearce really is just an insane authority figure, exploiting loopholes and putting his employees in danger. This is how lawsuits begin, Pearce! It is not official. It's UNSANCTIONED. — Adam Pearce (@ScrapDaddyAP) February 18, 2025 Anyway, this program has the potential to seriously deliver and the Toronto atmosphere should be one for the books. However, I have no clue what this means for either man's WrestleMania plans. Elimination Chamber feels like an unreachable bar to set. Karrion Kross took to the microphone backstage later in the night with Cathy Kelley to keep teasing his odd interest in Sami Zayn. I'm surprised to see WWE is sticking with whatever this is. Kross vs. Zayn at WrestleMania? I don't think I'd hate that, but it would feel like a last resort, considering how Kross has been treated. I'd actually prefer Zayn caving in and joining Kross for some kind of duo, whether a tag team or just partners. There might be something there. Do you agree with @realKILLERkross? 👀#WWERaw — WWE (@WWE) February 18, 2025 1. The overhead lights were a pretty cool addition to the entrance on this show. Sometimes it's the little things. 2. AJ Styles (thankfully) defeated Dominick Mysterio in their match. I thought Mysterio offered up too much resistance for a legend like Styles, but ultimately, it worked out for a clean win and led to a Bron Breakker appearance post-match. Surprisingly, Breakker went for a sneak attack Spear on Styles but missed and crushed Mysterio. Essentially, we'll obviously get Styles vs. Breakker out of this, which is impossible to be upset about. Bron Breakker just SPEARED Dominik Mysterio and the dogs are BARKING tonight! 💥💥💥#RawOnNetflix — WWE (@WWE) February 18, 2025 that catch was real smooth 😮‍💨 — WWE (@WWE) February 18, 2025 3. "The Ultimate Fighter 33" was mentioned on "WWE Raw." The MMA crossovers always catch me off guard, but they're welcome. 4. Dakota Kai won a good match against Ivy Nile to set up an Intercontinental title rematch against Lyra Valkyria. At least Kai earned it, unlike Michin on the U.S. title side. This was the right way to do it, and their first match was great. I can't imagine Kai winning the title soon, but Triple H already botched the start of both title mid-card reigns, as I mentioned on Friday. KAI vs. VALKYRIA II#WWERaw — WWE (@WWE) February 18, 2025 5. The New Day came out to ask why they weren't thanked for not assaulting Rey Mysterio more than they did last week. These guys are such brilliant heels that I don't know how they didn't make this turn sooner. LWO came out to give them the business in defense of Mysterio, so we'll surely see that match soon or next week. 1. WWE continued to milk the IShowSpeed clout by showing footage from one of his recent streams discussing the Bron Breakker Royal Rumble spear. It was a good viral moment, but no one cares. Lame. 2. I'm aboard the Penta train, and he should win for as long as possible. However, I'm not sure having Pete Dunne continue to lose is the best way to rebuild him after the burial feud with R-Truth. Thankfully, I think we'll get a triple-threat out of this with them and Ludwig Kaiser. But for now, why put Dunne in this spot? He must have pissed someone off. After recently crowning Renee Paquette as our Uncrowned gem over on "AEW Dynamite," I wonder if WWE took notes and read our recap because Cathy Kelley entered the night and said, "Hold my beer." Usually, WWE mixes it up with a variety of backstage talent, but this "WWE Raw" was all Kelley, and she showed a lot of personality to enhance her interactions. As I said atop the thumbs-up list, it really is the little things sometimes, folks. "They doubting me, Jey can't beat him, but who's standing in front of you as the Royal Rumble winner? That's me, and at WrestleMania I'm gonna shock the World again when I become the new World Heavyweight Champion"JEY USO ABSOLUTELY COOKED WITH THIS PROMO 🔥#WWERaw — TribaI Wrestling (@TribalMegastar) February 18, 2025 👑 I give this show a Crown score: 8.5/10 👑
