Even If You're Lazy, You Can Handle Spring Cleaning With These 27 Walmart Products
We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page. Laziness, frankly, is a bit villainized when it comes to cleaning. If a robot can sweep up crumbs for you, why not let it? 1. A set of food storage containers to keep your pantry stocked and all your items hyper-visible. 👀 These containers are great for keeping snacks at the ready, protecting your grains and pasta from going stale, and with their stackable, see-through design, it makes figuring out your shopping list as easy as just giving them an eyeball! Walmart 2. A desk organizer set that can take your office supplies from Everything Everywhere All At Once to A Room With A View. Pencils, pens, Post-Its — you name it! Walmart Promising review:"Not only is this beautiful, but super functional! I purchased notepads, a rose gold stapler, pens, tape dispenser, scissors, and paper clips for my daughter's coworkers. Absolutely gorgeous and makes a great gift!" — Mary Price: $18.99 3. A nine-piece set of refrigerator bins, which can turn even the most chaotic fridge into a paradise of produce. With their see-through design and durable acrylic material, these bins will be your fridge's best friend (not to mention yours). Walmart Here's what BuzzFeed contributor Courtney Hayes thinks about these:"I just started using these and WOW, what a game-changer. I'm able to see all my groceries, so I actually use everything (including that bag of spinach) before it goes bad." Promising review:"If you're finding stuff lost in the back of your fridge and getting annoyed with how much money you're throwing away because of this, then you need this set! I'm in love with the organization of my fridge now!" — tim100574 4. A Swiffer mop kit because if your floors look like they've been through a toddler tornado, a pet parade, and maybe a few too many snack spills, this kit is ready to scrub the pain away. If sloshing around a mop bucket is so pre-Y2K, then this solution is for you. Walmart This kit includes a mop, two mopping pad refills, floor cleaning solution, and two batteries. Promising review:"Love it. It's just what we need, especially with how busy we tend to be with four kids. Much better than the other Swiffer I used to have (the purple one)." — jess 5. A kitchen wrap stand because having these precious kitchen items sliding around loose in a drawer is just wrong! Well, it may not be wrong — but it is pretty annoying. If you've found yourself awkwardly shuffling your aluminum foil and cling-wrap out of a too-small drawer (or giving up and leaving them on top of your fridge), pick up this handy little rack to make grabbing them a breeze. Walmart 6. A set of clear stackable bins for the spare linens, oversized quilts, or off-season clothing that just never finds a great place to be when you don't need it. These 17-quart bins have secure snap-on lids that make them ideal for stacking in a closet or for easy under-bed storage. Walmart Promising review:"I am loving these clear 17-quart plastic storage boxes. I bought this pack of six storage boxes, and when they arrived, I started reorganizing a closet and immediately ordered more. These are perfect to use on the upper shelves in our closets. They made the areas look so much nicer. I plan to order more to use in my bathroom and hall closets." — Meekelmomma 7. A Clorox Toilet Wand starter kit since cleaning the toilet is everyone's AbSoLuTe FAAAAVORITE AcTiViTy (very much signaling sarcasm here, if you couldn't tell). This genius wand lets you keep a bit of friendly distance between you and the bowl, and disposing of the cleaning pads is as easy as pressing a button. No, like literally that easy – they pop straight off into the trash! Walmart The kit includes the wand, caddy, and six scrubbing pads. Promising review:"If you are like me, you hate cleaning toilets. The Clorox Toilet wand disposable toilet cleaning system makes cleaning so much easier, anyone can use it. I also feel using this product is way more sanitary than using a reusable toilet scrubbing wand. Once you are done with the refill head, just throw it away, and you are done. No more sanitizing and no more germs. Also, the design is minimal, so if you don't have any shelves to store this in, you could easily keep this out in the bathroom, and no one would notice it." — H 8. A two-tier organizer if you want an organizer that can work humbly in an under-sink cabinet or in the spotlight of the counter. This slick organizer has two tiers and a sidecar that can store makeup brushes, combs, or whatever you use as a fake microphone for your shower karaoke! Walmart 9. A bottle of citrus-scented Poo-Pourri because even friends and family have some things that they really don't want to share with each other... Keep the right things a secret with this fun (and funnily named) bathroom spray that'll make you wonder if anyone ever uses your facilities. Walmart Promising review: 'It's a godsend! Magnificent product, and if there's anyone in your family with IBS, IBD, Crohn's, or ulcerative colitis, this product will keep your bathroom fit to go into no matter how many trips are made to the toilet! Love it! Won't be without it!" — BryOhio 10. An Anker robot vacuum because why did we ever make these things nonrobotic?? If you find yourself too busy to bust out the broom and dustpan whenever a stray dust bunny lopes across your living room, this convenient robotic vacuum will quickly become the WALL-E of your home (by which we mean you will love it forever). Walmart Promising review:"I love this vacuum! It was easy to set up on Wi-Fi, and I have it scheduled to clean every day at 11:00. My floors really look nice. The dirt collecting bin is easy to empty and holds quite a bit. It is very quiet and runs a long time before it self-docks. My dog isn't afraid of it. The price is affordable and well worth the money." — Roma 11. A set of drawer organizers to take your home office from work-from-home to work-from- heaven. 👼 With a plethora of different sizes, you'll find just the right fit for all your pens, papers, and Post-its. It turns easily and has nice, smooth, clean-looking jars that will be easy to keep clean. The design helps to keep it all organized, and the sturdy construction will last a very long time. I had been shopping for spices by purchasing individual bottles or cans, and many spices are difficult to find. This spice rack has all of the everyday spices plus others that will come in handy for special occasions. The total footprint is very small and great for smaller kitchens like mine. I would recommend this especially as a gift for a newlywed, who I am sure would love the five-year replacement on the empty refills. Beautifully displayed and a great conversation piece." — naungst 14. A Bissell 3-in-1 lightweight vacuum since not every mess requires lugging out a bulky floor vacuum. This sleek little appliance is easy to use and can sneak into about every nook and cranny you can think of. Dust bunnies, BEGONE! Walmart 15. A pack of extra durable Magic Erasers to finally rid your surfaces of all those stubborn smudges, scuffs, and worked-in grime that gradually finds its way into your home's high-traffic areas. These things are legit miracle workers, often cleaning in one swipe what might have taken a fresh coat of paint to do otherwise. Walmart Promising review:" SOOOO effective! Between ourselves and our adult children, we have lived in many apartments throughout the years and the Mr. Clean sponge has been with us consistently. Have used it for over a decade through cleaning out and up walls and furniture. It's so effective that, in one apartment we lived in with matte paint walls, we did not have to touch up paint walls or trim when we moved out. It was like the sponge was covering up marks and painting for us. Does not leave any marks on all finishes of paint. I cannot say enough good about the Mr. Clean sponge — it's ingenious and a must for anyone moving or cleaning." — pinkchux 17. A pack of disposable gloves since spring cleaning should end when you hang up your mop, not after you've scraped out muck from underneath your fingernails. Save your widdle fingies and get the added bravery that comes from not having to directly touch whatever you just pulled out of your sink drain. Walmart Promising review:"Truly are what they say; I have been using them for a few years and hope they continue to make them. I use them for dishes, cleaning, and shopping. They fit great, and can get several wearings from them! Great packaging!! Great quality, highly recommend!!" — Diane 18. A pet hair roller that does its job and then some! I have gone through numerous vacuums, tools, etc., trying to find something that actually worked WELL, and little did I know, all it takes is this inexpensive little gadget. I swear, whoever came up with this idea definitely had my household in mind!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Will buy over, and over, and over again!" — Dissatisfied 19. In fact, it's tough enough to give your outdoor furniture a serious glow-up. Walmart It also comes with a Scrub Mommy! Promising review:"I think it's the best scrub. Used this to clean the kitchen sink, pots, and a couple of pans. I like that it also polished in a non-aggressive way. I have recommended this power paste to my friends. I was surprised that the paste comes with a Scrub Mommy." — Natalia 21. A Lysol toilet bowl cleaner duo, which will take even the most neglected toilet and transform it into a shining porcelain throne! Toilet rings and other types of yucky buildup, begone! And, according to the cleaning hack community, it makes a great disinfectant on pretty much any surface. Walmart Promising review:"This right here!! This is truly a lifesaver. I have tried every Pinterest-worthy pin on how to clean your toilet. Nothing, and I repeat NOTHING has cleaned my toilet bowel until NOW. In my first bathroom, I applied and forgot about it. My husband was able to assemble it easily and quickly. The white color looks so dainty and clean. It's a plus that the bottom extension is plastic, so just in case it gets wet, it doesn't get rotten. Bloomington Housing Fair provides resources for all housing needs
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — In the same place you can get a cup of coffee or a new pair of shoes, people at a local mall were given something you don't see everyday. The city of Bloomington held a Housing Fair in Eastland Mall on Wednesday to offer avenues and resources to people to have a safe place to live. 'We have folks here that are looking to purchase a home, looking to rent, looking for housing, rehab, if they're unhoused, really the full gamut of services that are related to housing,' said Willam Bessler, the city's grants manager. Several tables were lined up in the mall that ranged from veterans services to education to the Salvation Army. With Home Sweet Home Ministries currently leading the charge in the mission to mitigate homelessness in the city with the potential shelter village, this fair is another way the non-profit is able to connect with anyone who needs housing. Connect Transit and non-profit in negotiations for shelter village 'It's wonderful because it just gives people an opportunity to get connected to different resources,' said Courtney Hayes, housing navigator for Home Sweet Home Ministries. 'If I don't have the answer, then maybe someone else does.' Every vendor at the housing fair had the same wish. 'Everyone to have a roof over their head,' said Kimberly Massey, president of God's Mission Ministry, a street outreach group in Bloomington. 'Everyone deserves it. No matter the mental health, no matter the addiction, no matter the trauma or the story behind what got them there, we believe that everyone deserves to be housed.'
