Former NBA Star's On-Court Encounter With Fans Ends With Police Involved

Former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins found himself at the center of an altercation with fans that evoked memories of the so-called "Malice at the Palace" that occurred more than 25 years ago. The incident went down Monday during a Puerto Rico basketball league game. Cousins, 34, is playing with the Guaynabo Mets. At some point in the fourth quarter, the former Sacramento Kings center got into a verbal altercation with a fan sitting courtside. The fan was gesturing "cry baby" at Cousins, who clearly took offense. Cousins grabbed his crotch, prompting the fan to flip him the bird. Cousins pushed the fan's hands down, and that's when the altercation turned physical, as more fans rushed in to the fan's aid and Cousins' teammates stepped in to prevent things from getting even more out of control. The former University of Kentucky star ultimately was ejected from the game, but he didn't leave quietly. As he was being escorted by security and police, Cousins got into another skirmish with fans, who threw drinks at the agitated center. Police and security had to physically restrain Cousins and some fans, too. Cousins last played in the NBA in the 2021-22 season. He was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Kings. He averaged 19.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game over the course of 11 seasons. He first joined the Mets in 2023 before briefly played in Taiwan and Mongolia. He returned to the Mets this season. Cousins' altercation with fans reminded basketball fans of the infamous November 2004 incident at The Palace of Auburn Hills, where members of the Indiana Pacers -- primarily a then-known Ron Artest -- got into a melee with Detroit Pistons fans. The violent brawl led to numerous suspensions and it forever left a stain on the NBA. Ye Disses Cam'ron For Saying He Put A 'Stain' On Chicago, And Cam Responds Exactly How You Think He Would

Cam'ron has responded to Ye taking aim at him due to the Harlem rhymer claiming the Chicago artist has put a 'stain' on his hometown with his antics. After Cam's initial remarks that both Ye and incarcerated R&B star R. Kelly put 'a stain on a good city' with their behavior, Ye replied with a since-deleted X/Twitter post, where he first claimed to 'love' his former label mate before saying he almost didn't release new song 'COUSINS' due to people like the Purple Haze rhymer potentially making fun of him. The song highlights West's claim of having an incestuous relationship with his male cousin as a kid. 'How Cam say I'm doing anything bad for Chicago. Chicago loves me,' West posted. 'I love Cam. It's n***as like you that had me shook to release the song but I ain't scared of y'all n***as. And thank you for making dip set. You're a God. 'And f**k you by the way,' he added. 'And I got on my 2 million dollar dipset belt as I tweet.' West also addressed Cam's comments during his Parti livestream with Sneako over the weekend, where he called Cam a 'pu**y a** ni**a' for his remarks, adding, 'don't tell me sh*t about Chicago.' Cam shared his reaction on Monday's episode of his It Is What It Is podcast. Instead of responding with equal energy, the Uptown spitter laughed off Ye's shots while saying he doesn't go back and forth with anyone 'once you admit you suck d*ck,' a reference to the aforementioned 'Cousins' track, where Ye claims he performed oral sex on his male cousin until the age of 14. 'I don't usually talk to ni**as who suck d*ck, once they suck d*ck, I don't go back. I don't wanna go back-and-forth once you admit you suck d*ck. That's just me,' Cam said though chuckles. See his reaction to Ye's slights below. In addition to Cam saying West is currently making his city look crazy, the rapper also previously called out the Bully artist for his 'disgusting' remarks regarding JAY-Z and Beyoncé's children. 'I was disgusted,' Cam said at the time. 'Why are you mentioning another man's kids? That's not only out of bounds, it's desperate.' Steelers QB Target May Require 'Patience'

The NFL Draft is finally over, and we can now start looking toward those moves that teams are expected to make "post-draft." One of those teams is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who appear to be a favorite to land Falcons veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins via trade. Advertisement The Falcons previously have said they're in no hurry to move Cousins, who lost his starting role to rookie Michael Penix Jr. mid-way through last season. Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot appeared on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio to update Cousins' status in Atlanta. 'We have to be patient there and we always we're open with not just talking about Kirk, but with really anybody on our roster,' Fontenot said. 'You know, we have a lot of those calls with — I've probably talked to already six or seven GMs, since the draft ended, and they're talking about their roster. We're talking about our roster because after you get through the draft, that shifts some things in terms of needs and surplus and all that. And so we're always patient with those types of things because if something comes to us with Kirk or any other player that makes sense and it's going to help this team, then we're going to be aggressive and we're going to do it. "And if it's not something that's going to ultimately help this team, we always have to ask that question: Is it the best for the Atlanta Falcons or this organization? And if it is, we're going to be willing to do it. But all that communication is always ongoing.' Advertisement Last time we heard, the Falcons reportedly wanted a team to pick up $20 million of Cousins' $37.5 million guaranteed money. Will the Steelers be ok covering that? For Cousins? If Aaron Rodgers declines the Steelers' invitation to play, then they might not have a choice. Ye, or Kanye West, is no stranger to controversy and his X feed is a minefield of comments against Jews. The rapper has often publicly proclaimed his love for Hitler as well. The 47-year-old posted about his apparent incestuous relationship with his cousin. Sharing a song, Ye said it was called 'Cousins' because it was about his cousin who was behind bars. Then, the rapper dove into the events that unfolded. .Ye's cousin is apparently "locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn't ''look at dirty magazines together' anymore.".Kanye West snatches reporter's phone when asked if he is 'controlling' his new wife Bianca continued "Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw." He concluded the message on an emphatic note, claiming "My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins d**k till I was 14." He ended by saying "Tweet sent." Kanye West reveals past sexual relationship with male cousin

Kanye West detailed a years-long sexual relationship with an unnamed cousin in his latest social media outburst. In a post on X, Ye claims his new song 'Cousins' is about how he and a now-incarcerated cousin sexually experimented with each other when they were children. 'This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that's locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn't 'look at dirty magazines together' anymore,' the 47-year-old 'Runaway' rapper wrote. 'Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw,' he continued. 'My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different,' he continued. The song — through a video that appears to be a mix of found footage and animation — is also included in the post. The lyrics offer more details of the supposed relationship. 'Hanging with my cousin reading dirty magazines,' the tune begins with the pair looking at male-on-male scenes and being confused by 'what that s–t mean' before reenacting everything that we had seen.' Ye goes on to rap about not wanting to be judged and asking his cousin to not talk about the experience. A new chorus describes using nitrous oxide and Percocet in order to sleep and hoping a woman will stay with him. Ye said in an earlier tweet that his next album was now titled 'Cuck.' The purported admission adds to a growing list of questionable behavior from the rapper. Ye's Monday morning overshare comes less than a month after he donned a black KKK robe and told an interviewer he never wanted children with Kim Kardashian. The couple share four children and divorced in 2022. He has also continued making defenses of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, including allegedly harassing Jewish employees, selling a swastika t-shirt on his website and initially using the symbol as the cover art for his newest album. ___ © 2025 New York Daily News.
