Pickle-dusted doughnuts, ramen burrito among new KDays food creations

Sweet and savoury combos are headlining this year's KDays food menu.
On Monday, the popular summer festival released some of the new treats making their debut July 18 at the Edmonton Expo Centre.

The midway munchies include sweet offerings like ice cream nachos, sweet and spicy mango soft serve and pickle-dusted mini doughnuts.
Visitors seeking something more savoury can satisfy their pallets with pickled cheese curds, a ramen burrito, peanut-butter and jelly fried chicken or a Japanese waffle burger.

And you don't have to wait to enjoy some festival eats.
More than 20 local eateries are offering carnival-themed products at 40 locations around the city until July 27 – with each eligible purchase coming with two free tickets to KDays.
The 10-day Edmonton carnival features rides, games, music, competitions and exhibitions. It will run from July 18 to 27.
