CNE's 2025 food offerings include sushi corndogs, deep fried pizza and a 2-foot hotdog

For those looking for what may be the highest concentration of wild food combos in one spot, the Canadian National Exhibition is back and it's brought a whole host of culinary experiences with it. Two foot long hotdogs, a cookie with a chicken nugget in it courtesy of Craig's Cookies, and frozen deep fried watermelon on a stick are just a few of the culinary creations available this year. Other concoctions available at the CNE this year include: Deep fried pizza on a stick. Butter soda. A maki sushi corndog. A hash brown ice cream sandwich. Street corn honey lemonade. Butter tart, ube chocolate, and matcha funnel cakes. Chicago mix inspired fried chicken. Churro pizza. Butter chicken birria tacos. A biscoff fried chicken ice cream sandwich. Kimchi dumpling ice cream. Deep fried maple cookies. Poutine dumplings. Butter chicken waffles. These options, and more, will be available at the CNE's 136 food spots, including six vendors new to the exhibition, spread between the Princes' Gate and the food building adjacent to BMO Field. Other attractions (though their appeal may vary based on how may of these food options you've tried) include a dinner in the sky, the first ever CNE drag brunch hosted by Toronto drag queen Devine Darlin, and the 76th year of the Canadian International Air Show. The rides and games that populate the CNE's midway area are also back, with 63 total options including mainstays such as the Polar Express, Scrambler, and giant ferris wheel. The Ex will also feature Mythos, an exhibit the CNE describes as an immersive anthology series featuring stories from China, Nigeria, and the Haudenosaunee First Nation. According to the organization's website, the CNE worked with artists of various disciplines who have close ties to these communities to produce the exhibit. The CNE is set to run from Aug. 15 to Sept. 1 at Exhibition Place.

The Toronto-based cookie company announced its location on George Street in the ByWard Market on July 1. Craig's Cookies has locations in Toronto, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Collingwood, Niagara Falls, Burlington, Hamilton, London, Windsor and St. John's. According to Craig's Cookies Instagram account, the company is hiring bakers for its Ottawa store.
