Hip-hop supergroup Deltron 3030 will perform its debut album in its entirety this fall
The influential hip-hop trio Deltron 3030 is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its self-titled debut album with a 16-date North American tour.
Del the Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Kid Koala will start the second leg of their tour at the Uptown Theater in Minneapolis on Sept. 24, where they'll play their debut in its entirety.
The classic record featured contributions from Damon Albarn, with whom the trio had collaborated on the completion of the first Gorillaz album.
It also featured contributions from Prince Paul, Peanut Butter Wolf, Money Mark, Crash Test Dummies' Brad Roberts, Sean Lennon, and many others. Though, there aren't any announced plans to have any of those guests appear on the tour.
The announcement adds that the group is "in development" on a third record, which would be their first since 2013's Event 2.
A next act for Deltron 3030 has been the subject of rumors for years. While the group has performed here and there — including a show last year at Red Rocks Amphitheater with Atmosphere and Method Man & Redman — they haven't embarked on a full tour in a while.
Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, April 25, at 10 a.m.
