Dolly Parton hints Cowboy Carter tour appearance
Dolly Parton says she could show up to Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour. The 79-year-old country music legend was "very honoured" when the Single Ladies hitmaker, 43, remade her 1973 classic - but with a "twist" where she warns Jolene to stay clear of her man. Asked if she can be expected at one of the shows on the mammoth stadium tour, Dolly told the HuffPost: "You never know ― anything is possible! Because she really is doing great with that (tour)." On being "very amused" by Beyoncé's take on Jolene, she added: "I was very honoured that she wanted to do her version of Jolene. "That's all a great compliment to me, when somebody wants to do my songs in any version. "I was very amused by her take on that, and I got a big kick out of that. "She's not gonna sit back and say, 'Oh please don't take my man.' She's gonna kick some ass!" Beyoncé kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour by raking in a record-setting $55.7 million gross. The Crazy In Love hitmaker finished a run of five gigs at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on May 9, and pulled in well over $50 million with 217,000 tickets sold. As reported by Rolling Stone magazine, the Los Angeles run was the "biggest reported single-venue engagement" of the year so far. It was also the fifth-highest grossing tour stop in Boxscore history, beaten only by U2 at the Sphere in Las Vegas across 2023 and 2024, Harry Styles at New York's Madison Square Garden in 2022, and Take That's Wembley Stadium run in 2011. What's more, it also marked the highest-grossing single-venue engagement in history by a female artist. Beyoncé started her tour on April 28 and returned to the venue on May 1, 4, 7 and 9, pulling in an average of $11.1 million per night with over 43,000 fans in attendance for each show. With three performances as SoFi in 2023, her eight gigs in total was more than any other artist in the venue's five-year history. On the opening night of the SoFi run, the Grammy Award-winner was joined onstage by her daughters Blue Ivy Carter and Rumi Carter. Blue Ivy, 13, danced with her famous mother during her performance of America Has A Problem. Later on, it was time for Beyoncé and Jay-Z's seven-year-old, Rumi Carter, to make her onstage debut. As Beyoncé belted out the moving ballad Protector, Rumi and her big sister stood with her under the spotlight. Following the performance, pictures of Beyoncé and her three children - also including Rumi's twin brother Sir - appeared on a big screen behind her. Beyoncé recreates iconic ‘Crazy In Love' outfit on ‘Cowboy Carter' tour — and covers it in rhinestones
It's your girl, B. While performing in Chicago over the weekend, Beyoncé recreated her iconic 'Crazy In Love' outfit on her 'Cowboy Carter' tour, hitting the stage in a rhinestone-covered take on the simple look. In the famous 2003 music video, the Grammy-winning musician, who was just 21 at the time, struts her stuff in a sparkly Prada tank top, J Brand low-rise denim hot pants and bright red Stuart Weitzman heels. Styled by Shiona Turini, her performance getup on Saturday was much more glitzy. The superstar, 43, shimmered in a custom white embellished tank top and denim short shorts adorned with royal blue gems from Sami Miro. She kept the denim going, stepping on stage in custom slouchy knee-high boots by Loewe. Beyoncé rounded out the sparkly performance outfit with equally dazzling diamond-encrusted David Koma earrings ($1,200) in the shape of a buckle. Though the Cécred founder wore her hair straight in the beloved music video, she opted for long voluminous curls during her Saturday night performance. The early aughts clip's stylist, Ty Hunter, reflected on the iconic outfit in a 2023 interview with Vogue. 'The tank actually has rhinestones on it, which not many people know,' he said. 'I remember pulling it at the showroom — it was the last thing I grabbed.' And there's a reason they went with the white top and denim shorts mash-up. 'We wanted to do something that the kids could emulate and copy,' Hunter revealed. 'Everything we did prior to that was so big and so glamorous, so we wanted to strip it down into something that the kids could emulate. That was important to Beyoncé.' There's been no shortage of fabulous designer looks on the 'Cowboy Carter' tour, which kicked off in Los Angeles last month. Thus far, she's rocked custom pieces from Mugler, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and more storied fashion houses. And, she even has her own daughter emulating pieces from her past, with 13-year-old Blue Ivy joining her on stage for a large portion of the show in similar looks.

Tina Knowles doesn't want granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter to chase a career in entertainment
Tina Knowles hopes Blue Ivy Carter "doesn't go into entertainment". The 71-year-old fashion designer - whose daughter is Beyonce - is proud that Blue Ivy, 13, for getting up on stage herself on the 'Crazy In Love' hitmaker's 'Cowboy Carter' tour, but she doesn't want it to lead to her following in her famous mother's footsteps. She told Extra: "My wish for her is that I wish that she would do something else. I hope that she doesn't go into entertainment. 'I think it's a huge sacrifice. It's a huge sacrifice on your life. But if she chooses to do it, I'm going be right up front screaming and cheering. "But hopefully she'll choose something else, but what I do know? And that's why her mom let her do it, is because she got her confidence there. And it's beautiful to see." Tina pointed out that Blue's seven-year-old sister Rumi - who Beyonce also has with husband Jay-Z -has also loved getting to join her mother and sibling on stage during the recent run. She added: "Little Rumi also, she told us every night during Renaissance, 'I'm ready. I'm ready to go out there,' and we were like, 'Okay, next time.' "And this time, her mom let her go and it's wonderful to see her out there. 'They need to let her let loose 'cause she is back there doing choreography and twirling and doing all pliés and everything else. And I'm like, 'Let her loose one night!' ' Despite her reservations about Blue or Rumi chasing a career in music, Tina is delighted to see Blue gaining confidence by the day. She said: "Well, it's the best, because at the end of the day, the most important bonus of that is I just see the confidence just growing every day. 'Blue is tall, she's like 5'9', and she's 13 years old… and I would always say, 'Stand tall because your grandma always wanted to be tall.' "And she would still kind of slump a little bit, and now we got the model pose and she is strutting and she is confident and that's the most important thing to me.'
