Creston celebrates proud moments
Creston's 1st XI Football team displayed grit and determination in the Curro Halala Cup opener at Curro Hillcrest. Although the result wasn't in their favour, the match (streamed live on SuperSport Schools) was a proud moment for Creston. High school learners explored post-school opportunities when the energetic 3RC Rocking the Future Roadshow visited the school, gaining valuable insight into careers and tertiary education. The Junior Primary hosted a heartwarming Mother's Day celebration filled with love and laughter. And making history – the U9 Rugby team secured a 10–5 win against Suid-Natal in Creston's first-ever match at this level. Also, Grade R teachers were thrilled to receive the 'Out of the Blocks' movement kit, designed to boost early development through physical activity. Movement supports not only physical health but also brain development, emotional well-being, motor skills and social interaction. The kit promotes fun, active learning through outdoor play, games, dance and more, setting the youngest learners up for success. Meanwhile, the high school Esports team stepped into the virtual arena for the Curro Clash: Minecraft Duos. Competing against Curro Midrand, Curro Waterfall and Northern Academy, teams had just 30 minutes to build around the theme 'South African Street Festival'. Creston's duo impressed with a vibrant Divali-inspired design, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and cultural pride under pressure.
