Man vandalizes intersex Pride flag in Lancaster County; police investigating
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are searching for a man who was caught on video vandalizing an intersex-inclusive pride flag in Lancaster County. According to the New Holland Police Department, authorities are looking into a string of thefts and acts of vandalism that occurred in the 200 block of West Main Street. Video surveillance released by police depicts a masked male approaching a flag pole and using a sharp object to cut down and slash the intersex-inclusive Pride flag before leaving the scene. Police say the flag has been stolen and damaged on multiple occasions. National Press Club honours eNCA's Crime Watch team
JOHANNESBURG - The National Press Club has named Crime Watch host Yusuf Abramjee Journalist of the Year 2024. He won the award in in the TV News category at the prestigious Newsmaker of the Year awards on Friday night. Abramjee called the accolade not just a personal honour, but a tribute to the Crime Watch and eNCA team, now in its seventh year. Special credit goes to producer Colly Ndala and video editor Tsepo Lekgwati for tireless behind the scenes work. Crime Watch's fearless reporting has already earned two Kudu Awards from SANParks, while Abramjee himself has received multiple Adcock Bravery Awards.

Vestal Police update residents on crime in the town
VESTAL, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – The Vestal Police Department gave a presentation to town residents, updating them on crime analytics and trends over the past year. The department called the event a Community Roll Call, and was led by police chief, Stace Kintner. Kintner went through slide show, detailing the trends of local crime and the department's response to it. Such as how over 20% more motor vehicle accidents occur in the town when Binghamton University is in session. The overall number of calls for service continues to increase year after year, this year, the agency received over 19,300 calls. Kintner encouraged residents to download the app Crime Watch and search for Vestal Police, to stay up to date on the agency's announcements. 'Traditionally, there's been a hesitation to really share with people what's going on. Cause you obviously don't want to increase concerns. I look at it in the opposite end. Like, I look at it as, I'm going to tell you what's going on. I'm going to tell you how we're combating it right,' says Kintner. Kintner says he's proud that the department currently has 43 officers, which is the most its ever had. Lancaster County police looking for ‘rare' stolen electric scooter
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are seeking assistance locating a rare electric scooter that was reportedly stolen in Lancaster County yesterday. According to Spring Garden Township Police, on April 21, a sage green Nami Blast Max S.E. 72-volt electric scooter was stolen from a house in the 1300 block of Lancaster Avenue in Spring Garden Township, York County. Police say the scooter was stolen without keys and with the immobilizer chip removed, so it should not be operable. According to a Facebook post from the dealer, the scooter is 'sage green' with an inverted front fork for better road shock absorption. The post says only 9 units will ever be made in this special green color in the Continental United States.
