Burnaby Mountain Parkway closed after rollover crash
A rollover crash on Burnaby Mountain is seen on Thursday, July 24.
Police closed off Burnaby Mountain Parkway near Simon Fraser University Thursday morning after a serious car crash.
Mounties were called to the area just west of Centennial Way around 4 a.m. after a report of a single-vehicle collision.
Images from the scene show a flipped-over car and scattered debris on the road.
There is no word on injuries yet. Police promised an update later Thursday.
Meanwhile, Burnaby Mountain Parkway is closed between Gagliardi Way and Duthie Avenue and is expected to remain so for several hours.
The Burnaby RCMP's Criminal Collision Investigation Team is in charge of the file and the cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
