Five suspects facing allegations of burglarizing Terrebonne businesses

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Five people are in police custody accused of committing a series of burglaries in the Dulac area. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office reports that over the past two weeks, Criminal Patrol Division deputies received anonymous tips reporting several people were allegedly responsible for at least two separate business burglaries. Multiple CBD apartment residents evacuated following two-alarm fire The investigation led detectives to identify the suspects: 47-year-old Christopher Lee Verdin 42-year-old Chris Marie Verdi 38-year-old Donovan Lee Billiot 45-year-old Eugene Michael Lodrigue Jr. 54-year-old Carl E. Naquin Jr. All suspects were booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Chris was arrested on a felony charge of simple burglary. She was released on a $10,000 bond. Christopher was arrested for two counts of simple burglary, one count of theft and several warrants on unrelated crimes. His bond is set at $113,200. Naquin was arrested on a charge of principal to simple burglary and several warrants for unrelated crimes. His bond is set at $50,000 Lodrigue was arrested on a charge of simple burglary and several warrants for unrelated crimes. His bond is set at $72,700. ‘Largest fentanyl bust' conducted in St. Tammany Parish

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Two men are behind bars following a traffic stop that led to the largest drug bust for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. According to deputies, on Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Criminal Patrol Division unit witnessed a gold GMC Yukon on Dr. T.J. Smith Sr. Expressway near Slidell allegedly committing multiple traffic violations and pulled them over. One rescued after crash involving box truck on Twin Span Narcotics unit detectives assisted in the traffic stop after a search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of approximately 16,000 (nearly five pounds) of pressed fentanyl pills. Deputies said they were disguised as counterfeit Oxycodone and were concealed in the sunroof. Driver, 21-year-old Tawan Anthony, and passenger, 41-year-old Reggibals Henry, were both arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center. Anthony was booked on charges of: Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS (Fentanyl) Transactions involving proceeds from Drug Transactions Driving on teh right side of the road Following vehicles to close Henry was booked on charges of possession with the intent to distribute a scheduled II CDS (fentanyl). Anthony is on probation until 2026 on a charge of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana in Pearl River. Henry is on parol until 2028 following a conviction of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and possession of methamphetamine from a 2017 arrest by STPSO detectives. 'Fentanyl is a very dangerous drug and it is no secret that it is in our community. Our narcotics detectives are dedicated to identifying and arresting those individuals who are selling it in our community.
