Chivu To Keep 3-5-2 Formation At Inter Milan To Start – But Could Switch To A Back Four
Chivu To Keep 3-5-2 Formation At Inter Milan To Start – But Could Switch To A Back Four Cristian Chivu will keep the 3-5-2 formation at Inter Milan, but could switch to a back four as next season goes on. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement Inter Milan have decided on Cristian Chivu as their new coach. And reportedly, a big part of the reason for this is that the Nerazzurri believe the Romanian will give the team tactical continuity. Inter have been playing almost exclusively with a 3-5-2 shape for six seasons now. That was the shape that Antonio Conte used. And then, Simone Inzaghi kept the system the same. Of course, there were big differences in the approaches of the two coaches. But the formation was the same throughout, with very few exceptions. And it will be a similar story with Chivu. The 44-year-old will certainly bring his own ideas and style. But the shape that the players line up in will not change. (Photo by) Cristian Chivu is certainly not going to implement any radical changes right away. Advertisement The Nerazzurri squad is currently build to play in a 3-5-2 formation. Therefore, the new coach will stick with that shape at the Club World Cup. And even if there are some changes in the summer transfer window, the squad is still going to be made up primarily of the same players from the last couple seasons. Therefore, the Gazzetta report, Chivu plans to start next season with a 3-5-2 shape. That is what the players know. However, as the campaign goes on, the Romanian will have the chance to experiment. In his time as Inter youth team coach, Chivu changed formations a fair bit. And he tended to favour systems with a back four. But what was important was that the system suit the team. Advertisement At Parma, Chivu got a lot of success out of using the 3-5-2 shape. That made the Gialloblu more defensively solid, something they definitely needed when he came in. And the 44-year-old's familiarity with that shape was a big part of why Inter turned to him to replace Simone Inzaghi. However, that certainly does not mean that Inter won't give Chivu the freedom to test out other formations.

Inter Milan Club Directors To Travel With Squad & New Coach Chivu To USA For FIFA Club World Cup Inter Milan's club directors will travel with Cristian Chivu and the squad to the USA for the FIFA Club World Cup. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They anticipate that it will be an 'all-hands-on-deck' approach from the Nerazzurri senior management. Advertisement Inter Milan will travel to the United States for the Club World Cup in just a few days. The Nerazurri will begin their campaign in the competition in a little over a week. They kick off their group stage against Mexican side Monterrey. And Inter have gone through massive upheaval in the lead-up to the Club World Cup. Inter lost out on the Serie A title by a single point on the final day of the season to Napoli last month. Then, they suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. After that, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi decided to step down. He joined Al-Hilal. Advertisement The 44-year-old former Nerazzurri defender will have the faith of the club to try and instill a different atmosphere after an extraordinarily tough few weeks. But doing so won't be easy. However, Inter have an opportunity to immediately start regaining their confidence. The Club World Cup can see the team put the last month behind them and make a fresh start under Chivu. But the team and their young new coach will need the support of the club behind them. Therefore, reports Tuttosport, Inter's senior management will be on the plane to the United States with the team. Only Nerazzurri President Beppe Marotta could stay behind, to deal with transfer market business.

Inter Milan Ask New Coach Cristian Chivu For Three Key Things
Inter Milan Ask New Coach Cristian Chivu For Three Key Things Inter Milan have asked their new coach Cristian Chivu for three key things in his first season in charge of the team. Today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the Nerazzurri report that the Nerazzurri want a return to winning ways, a mental recovery, and a greater focus on youth. Advertisement Inter Milan are on the verge of appointing Cristian Chivu as their new coach. The 44-year-old will reportedly terminate his contract with Parma tomorrow, and then take the reins from Simone Inzaghi. Chivu is not a coach with much senior experience: just thirteen matches at Parma. However, beyond his work at the Gialloblu, Inter trust Chivu on the basis of his time coaching their youth ranks. (Photo by) And according to the Corriere dello Sport, there are three things Inter have asked from Chivu. Naturally, the first would be a return to winning trophies. Last season, Inter were in the hunt for major silverware right until the end of the season. However, they faltered at the last hurdle and ended the campaign empty-handed. Advertisement Therefore, next time out, Inter expect to end the season with something fresh in their trophy cabinet. Meanwhile, the Corriere dello Sport notes, Inter will have to bounce back from an absolutely devastating end to last season. The Nerazzurri suffered a shocking 5-0 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. And that came just a week after they narrowly lost out on the Serie A title. That end to the campaign has clearly mentally devastated Inter. Therefore, the club want Chivu to change the atmosphere and get the team back on track mentally. Lastly, the Corrirere report, Inter expect more of a focus on youth from Chivu.

Report – Inter Milan Could Offload Albania Star To Parma In Swap Deal
Inter Milan and Parma could reportedly make a swap deal involving midfielders Kristjan Asllani and Adrian Bernabe. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could bring in Bernabe as a deputy for Hakan Calhanoglu. Advertisement Inter Milan are reportedly considering a number of Parma players as transfer targets. This follows from the imminent arrival of Cristian Chivu as Nerazzurri coach. Chivu has enjoyed success working with a number of the GIalloblu's young players. Therefore, there is a clear logic to reuniting the Romanian with one or two at Inter. Inter & Parma Could Make Asllani – Bernabe Swap Deal TURIN, ITALY – MAY 11: Kristjan Asllani of FC Internazionale celebrates scoring his team's second goal during the Serie A match between Torino and FC Internazionale at Stadio Olimpico di Torino on May 11, 2025 in Turin, Italy. (Photo by) One player who has come onto Inter's radar is 24-year-old midfielder Adrian Bernabe. The Spaniard, who came through the youth ranks at Barcelona and Manchester City, has established himself as a key player at the base of midfield for Parma. Advertisement And this has attracted the interest of Inter. Holding midfield is one area where the Nerazzurri will be targeting a signing this summer. The Nerazzurri have yet to really find a convincing backup for Hakan Calhanoglu at the base of their midfield. Kristjan Asllani has only found partial success in that role. Therefore, if Inter are to move for Bernabe, they could offer Asllani as part of a deal. For Parma, this would have the advantage of giving them an immediate direct replacement for the Spaniard.
