‘If you want to raid his house, 4 am is a good time': Riteish Deshmukh believes Akshay Kumar's early morning habit to be his best asset
During the promotions of his latest release, Raid 2, Riteish Deshmukh indulged in a fun, rapid-fire conversation. The interviewee asked him what he would like to raid from the houses of his fellow industry peers, and the Bollywood actor's answers were both sharp and witty. When it comes to his Raid 2 co-star Ajay Devgan's house, Deshmukh said one can find all sorts of medicines and a cure for every ailment in his house. So, according to him, 'you will be raiding a lot of good medical advice'. If you raid Shah Rukh Khan's house, he has a wonderful library, hence 'you will be raiding a lot of wisdom', and when it comes to Salman Khan's house, 'goodness, positivity, and food' was the actor's reply. 'The entire family is so welcoming — right from Salman bhai to Salim uncle to Arpita to everyone,' he told India Today. Coming to his former co-star Akshay Kumar, Deshmukh said: 'If you want to raid Akshay's house, 4 in the morning is a good time. I mean, whoever is raiding will get raided, because he will put everyone on exercise.' Kumar has repeatedly expressed his dedication to fitness in interviews and media appearances. In a video that went viral a few weeks ago, the Sarfira actor told podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia: 'I won't put pressure on myself at the cost of my health. I think the man who is healthy is the wealthiest. In reality, this is what every person would like to be.' A post shared by Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) In fact, his Singh is Kinng co-actor Manoj Pahwa shared his experience working with him, elaborating on his strict schedule: 'At 7.45 pm sharp, his trainer used to come with his food. Around 8.30 pm, he used to leave as he is used to sleeping at 9.15-9.30 pm. He gets up at 4 am to work out for 2-2.5 hours. It's not easy. It was a learning experience for me,' he had revealed. Akshay Kumar's commitment to health and wellness reiterates the importance of taking care of oneself, said Spoorthi S, fitness expert at Cult, adding that being a fitter version of yourself is the most valuable gift you can give yourself. 'If you start eating and exercising right, you will cultivate habits you can sustain in the long run and also prevent many conditions that tend to creep up on you as you age,' she said. According to her, there are three facets that one should keep in mind in this regard: Strength training: As you start to age, your muscles tend to atrophy (break down) and bones tend to get weak and brittle. 'Performing any resistance training helps you to build muscle and improve bone density. Lifting weights for at least three days a week can help you build stronger muscles, improve joint health, and prevent injuries,' said Spoorthi. Prioritise mindfulness: Focus on stress-relieving methods and quality sleep so your body gets adequate recovery. Cultivate healthy lifestyle habits: Don't stop enjoying your favourite foods, or go on extreme diets. Simple habits like prioritising protein, including fruits or vegetables in all meals, minimising processed foods and alcohol, and eating mindfully without distractions, can help you focus on choosing a healthier path in terms of eating. World Hypertension Day 2025: How Yoga Can Help Manage And Reduce High Blood Pressure Naturally
On the occasion of World Hypertension Day, embracing yoga is more than just a wellness trend—it's a step toward a healthier, balanced life. With its gentle postures, deep breathing, and calming meditative practices, yoga offers a natural and effective way to manage high blood pressure and reduce stress. "Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a global health challenge that often develops silently and progressively," says Indira C H, Yoga Expert at Cult. Indira says, "Fortunately, yoga offers a natural, accessible, and highly effective way to manage and prevent hypertension by integrating body, breath, and mind." Indira lists the importance of yoga on Hypertension Day:- 1. How Yoga Helps with Hypertension Indira says, "Yoga calms the nervous system, enhances circulation, and lowers stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. It shifts the body out of the sympathetic 'fight or flight' mode and activates the parasympathetic 'rest and digest' response—leading to naturally lower blood pressure and heart rate." 2. Effective Asanas for Lowering Blood Pressure "Gentle, restorative poses that soothe the nervous system are ideal. Sukhasana (Easy Pose), Viparita Karani (Legs-Up-the-Wall), Balasana (Child's Pose), Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose), Adho Mukha Shvanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), and Shavasana (Corpse Pose) all encourage deep relaxation, better circulation, and mindful breathing. Adho Mukha Shvanasana, when practiced gently, improves blood flow to the brain while grounding the heart—a beneficial posture for those managing hypertension," explains Indira. 3. Yoga and Medication Yoga should complement—not replace—medical treatment. Over time, a regular yoga practice may help reduce medication dosage under medical guidance, but it is not a substitute for professional care. 4. Stress and Hypertension Chronic stress significantly contributes to elevated blood pressure. Yoga helps manage this by promoting self-awareness, mental clarity, and nervous system regulation. The conscious relaxation and presence cultivated in yoga play a key role in controlling stress-induced hypertension. 5. Pranayama and Meditation for Heart Health Indira says, "Breathwork is central to yoga's impact on hypertension. Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) is especially powerful when practiced with emphasis on longer exhalation. The slow, extended exhale stimulates the vagus nerve, which slows down the heart rate and reduces sympathetic nervous activity. This directly counteracts the 'hyper' state often seen in those with high blood pressure, promoting calmness and balance." Additionally, Sheetali and Sheetkari (cooling pranayamas) help calm the mind and reduce body heat, while Bhramari (bee breath) soothes the brain and alleviates anxiety, offering emotional support for those with hypertension. 6. Poses to Avoid Avoid high-intensity flows, forceful pranayama like Kapalabhati and Bhastrika, and strong inversions such as Sarvangasana and Sirsasana. These can spike blood pressure and overstimulate the nervous system. 7. Advice for Beginners If you're new to yoga and managing hypertension, begin with breath awareness and simple stretches under the guidance of a trained instructor. Prioritize rest, breath, and mindfulness over intensity or performance. 8. Importance of Consistency A steady, daily practice—even 20–30 minutes—is more effective than occasional effort. Long-term consistency in yoga helps sustain healthy blood pressure, improve heart rate variability, and build emotional resilience. 9. Combine Yoga with Lifestyle Changes "For best results, combine yoga with a heart-healthy diet, low sodium intake, adequate hydration, stress reduction techniques, and good sleep hygiene. Avoid smoking, limit alcohol, and maintain a healthy weight," says Indira. On this World Hypertension Day, let yoga be your path to a more peaceful mind and a healthier heart. Through simple daily practices—especially mindful breathing and long exhalation—you can shift from tension to tranquility, and from pressure to peace.

‘All for 2 plates of momos' Triptii Dimri's intense workout session is dedicated to her favourite cheat meal
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal (2023) starring Ranbir Kapoor went on to become a monster hit. What the movie also did was elevate Triptii Dimri – an actor who was celebrated for her performances in movies like Qala (2022), Bulbbul (2020), and Laila Majnu (2018) – to the status of 'National crush'. Now, Dimri is not just turning heads for her work in movies, she's setting serious fitness goals too. Her recent workout video showed her doing a smart mix of exercises that focus on flexibility, endurance, and core strength. 'When you realise it's all for 2 plates of momos,' she captioned the video, adding that 'this was not in the fitness plan.' Personal trainer Deepika Sharma told that the exercises showcased in the video are plank backward walk with ball pull, weighted butterfly stretch and frog jumps, along with a balanced split. Here's a brief overview of how these exercises impact health, and why you should add them to your daily fitness routine: 1. Plank backward walk with ball pull 'Start in a plank with a rubber ball in front. As you walk your feet back, you pull the ball toward you with your hands. This move fires up your core, shoulders, and coordination. It's sneaky hard—because you're moving under tension while staying stable,' said Sharma. Chandrashekar Gajawelli, fitness expert at Cult, said that this move also activates stabilising muscles and improves control under fatigue. A post shared by Triptii Dimri (@tripti_dimri) 2. Weighted butterfly stretch Sharma recommended sitting with feet together and knees out in butterfly position, holding light weights in both hands. 'It opens up your hips and inner thighs, while the added weights engage your upper body and keep the stretch active—not lazy,' she said. 'By incorporating dumbbells, she adds an upper body challenge while increasing hip mobility. It's a great way to improve posture, flexibility, and blood flow in the groin region,' said Shekhar. 3. Frog jumps 'From a wide squat, launch yourself forward like a frog, land, and repeat,' said Sharma. This one's all legs and lungs, great for explosive power, agility, and building lower body strength while getting your heart rate up. 'It fires up the quads, glutes, and core while improving cardiovascular endurance and agility – a high-intensity full-body burner that demands coordination and power,' said Shekhar. 4. Balanced Split: Holding the doorframe, Triptii does a controlled front split, focusing on lengthening the hamstrings and improving hip flexibility. Supported stretches like this help prevent injuries and boost lower body mobility. According to both experts, Triptii's workout is a brilliant example of functional training, blending strength, mobility, and explosive power. 'Whether you're a beginner or experienced, incorporating a few of these exercises can add depth to your training routine while enhancing flexibility and core control,' said Shekhar.

Banijay's Producers of Prime Video Hit ‘Cult' and Makers of Max's ‘A Devoted Friend' Team for Another True Story, ‘The Kiabi Scammer' Series
The makers of Prime Video's French hit show 'Cult'(pictured) and Max's first French original 'A Devoted Friend,' Banijay's Screenline Productions and Studiofact Stories are partnering up on 'The Kiabi Scammer,' another show based on a true story. The series, which is produced in partnership with the French newspaper Le Parisien, is inspired by their bombshell investigation published last October and revolving around the story Aurélie B, a woman-next-door who embezzled more than 100 million euros while working as a financial director for the brand Kiabi for more than ten years. The probe revealed how Aurélie exploited the flaws in the financial systems and was ultimately arrested by police last August. The case is still ongoing. 'Cult,' produced by Screenline and 27 Tribe for Prime Video, was inspired by the real-life events of 'Loft Story,' the French adaptation of 'Big Brother' which marked the country's first reality show of this kind in 2001. 'A devoted friend,' produced by StudioFact Stories and June Films for Max, is psychological thriller adapted from the novel 'La Mythomane du Bataclan,' starring Laure Calamy ('Call My Agent!'). Calamy stars as the woman who conned her way into a victims' association in the aftermath of the terror attack at the Bataclan concert hall in 2015 and quickly became one of its pillars. 'The Aurélie B. case is a fascinating case that reveals the mechanics of an extraordinary fraud. By focusing on a complex character with a dark, romantic side and modern writing, we aim toreach a wide audience with a taste for stories based on real events,' said Alexia Laroche Joubert, Banijay France director and Screen Line Productions' Frederic Lussato. 'Screenline made a remarkable entry into fiction with 'Cult' and we are committed to maintaining our high standards in order to offer stories that are both powerful and immersive, meeting the expectations of the market and the ambition of Banijay in this field.' Jacques Aragones and Roxane Rouas-Rafowicz, managers and founders of StudioFact Media group and Ivan Sadik, managing director of StudioFact Stories, said 'the story of Aurélie B. fits perfectly withthe StudioFact DNA: Telling the real story, with all its highs and lows, as close to the facts as possible.'
