Road reopens in Carlisle after utility works caused 'severe delays'
A ROAD in Carlisle is now open, according to Cumbria Road Watch, after undergoing utility work.
James Street in Carlisle was closed from Tuesday, August 5, and reopened today (Thursday, August 7).
During the closure, drivers experienced delays on surrounding routes as traffic was diverted.
Stagecoach Cumbria also said all their services using Botchergate were experiencing 'severe delays'.
The road was closed northbound between the petrol station and Nelson Bridge.
