Meghan Markle's ex-pal slams her and Prince Harry's decision to quit royal life: ‘They had it all'

Meghan Markle's former friend has slammed her and Prince Harry's decision to turn their backs on the royal family, saying the pair 'had it all' before moving to the US. TV presenter Lizzie Cundy, who struck up a friendship with the Duchess of Sussex in 2013, branded the duo 'complete failures' who 'blew it' by skipping out on royal festivities. 'They whinge, they moan, they criticize and they are not very grateful. They had it all,' Cundy told GB News. GB News Cundy, who no longer boasts a friendship with the 'Suits' alum, expressed her frustration about the couple's absence from Saturday's Trooping the Colour ceremony — before it emerged that they weren't invited. 'Watching Trooping the Colour today, I get the sense they really missed out. They really blew it,' she said of the pair. 'The only thing they are good at is spending money.' 'I was a dating service for Meghan Markle and she ghosted me,' Cundy said, suggesting that she had previously assisted Markle in her romantic life. 4 Cundy called the duo 'complete failures' who 'blew it' by skipping out on royal festivities. I didn't work for her again and I can understand why people are leaving her.' The Post has reached out to reps for the Sussexes for comment. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were notably absent from Saturday's royal ceremony after it had emerged that they did not receive an invitation. The last time Markle, 43, and the Invictus Games founder, 40, attended the military parade was when they celebrated the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee in 2022. But even then, they were forced to watch from a separate balcony alongside other non-working royals. The Sussexes have been kept at an arm's length following Her Late Majesty's death in September 2022 and Charles' ascension to the throne. 4 The Sussexes were not invited to attend this year's Trooping the Colour ceremony. His Majesty sent a message of unity by attending his celebration and standing in front of the British public while still undergoing cancer treatment after revealing his diagnosis in February 2024.

Southern Tier consumers face rock salt shortage

SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WETM) — If you haven't already stocked up on rock salt for this winter, you might be out of luck. Big box stores like Walmart, Tractor Supply, Sam's Club, Home Depot, Valu Home Centers, and Lowes were out of rock salt and other ice melt products at their locations across the Southern Tier on Feb. 17. A small business in Southport did, however, still have bags of salt for sale on Monday afternoon. Kara Cundy, the business account manager for Chemung Soft Water, told an 18 News reporter who visited the store that Presidents Day was busier than a typical Monday due to a lot of customers visiting and calling looking for rock salt after the weekend's winter weather. Are the Twin Tiers dealing with a rock salt shortage? 'We apparently have a rock salt shortage, and we are dangerously low on our inventory,' said Cundy. Customers reportedly told Chemung Soft Water's staff that there's nothing to melt the ice anywhere, and Cundy said the store can't get any more rock salt from its supplier. Chemung Soft Water typically sells rock salt by the pallet, but it stopped selling it in bulk to try to help as many customers as possible. At about 1:30 p.m., the store limited each customer to two 50-pound bags or four 25-pound bags. Shortly before 4 p.m., the store only had about 90 25-pound bags left. Cundy said if the store runs out of rock salt, it can sell people solar salt instead. These crystals, which are used to soften hard water, will work slower than rock salt, but they will still melt ice. If you do opt for a rock salt alternative, make sure you don't put it in a spreader machine and instead spread it by hand. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
