Here's what Timothée Chalamet's mother thinks of his girlfriend Kylie Jenner: ‘She's very nice to me'

American actor Timothée Chalamet and business mogul Kylie Jenner may be one of Hollywood's most unexpected couples, but they've steadily gained support from fans—and more importantly, from family. In a rare interview with Curbed magazine, Timothée's mother Nicole Flender opened up about the relationship, offering a warm endorsement of her son's girlfriend. 'I have to say, she's lovely. She's very nice to me,' Nicole said. Known for keeping her personal life private despite her son's global stardom, Nicole also joked about how Timothée broke the news of his recent real estate decision. 'Did he ask for my advice? No. He said, 'Guess what? I bought a house,'' she said, referring to his $11 million Beverly Hills purchase—a move that conveniently places him closer to Jenner's neighborhood in Calabasas Timothée and Kylie were first romantically linked in April 2023, sparking curiosity across social media. Over time, the couple began appearing together more publicly. In early 2025, Kylie accompanied Timothée to several high-profile events, including the Golden Globes and the Oscars, where he earned nominations for portraying Bob Dylan in the James Mangold-directed biopic A Complete Unknown. Their growing closeness has also reportedly been embraced by Kylie's family, as reported earlier this month by People magazine, 'Her family loves that she's dating him. They have seen such positive changes in Kylie. She's the happiest,' the source was quoted as saying. The source also added that Timothée has had a calming, grounding influence on the beauty mogul, who is known for balancing her media empire and motherhood. In March 2025, the couple was spotted enjoying a playful, affectionate outing at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, sharing laughs and kisses courtside during a match. More recently, they were seen together at Coachella, blending their glamorous lives with moments of casual intimacy. Between shared festivals, award ceremonies, and family approval, Chalamet and Jenner's relationship seems to be deepening—and now, with Flender's blessing, they appear more solid than ever.

Timothee Chalamet's mom breaks silence on Kylie Jenner romance amid feud rumors with his sister Pauline

Timothee Chalamet 's mom has broken her silence on his controversial romance with Kylie Jenner... amid feud rumors between the makeup mogul and his sister Pauline. The Wonka star, 29, and the reality sensation, 27, were first linked in the spring of 2023, and since then, their relationship has caused quite the stir online. And there's one person who may not be a fan of the pairing - Timothee's sister Pauline, 33 - as she has thrown some alleged shade at Kylie on numerous occasions. Now, the actor's mom, Nicole Flender, has shared her thoughts on her son's romance with the brunette beauty, and she seems to be nothing but supportive. While speaking to Curbed in a new interview, real estate agent Nicole praised Kylie as she reflected on how both of her kids had moved away. 'I have to say she's lovely,' she gushed, when asked about Kylie. 'She's very nice to me.' Timothee's sister Pauline, who is an actress and producer, took an apparent swipe at Kylie last month via Instagram. Taking to her Stories to discuss a New York Times article about cuts to foreign aid, she lambasted 'insane wealth disparity' in the US. Now, the actor's mom, Nicole Flender, has shared her thoughts on her son's romance with the brunette beauty, and she seems to be nothing but supportive It's certainly no secret that Kylie has amassed a huge net worth and is estimated to be currently sitting on a $700 million fortune. In 2019, she was controversially declared the world's youngest's self-made billionaire at age 21 but that value was later downgraded. Pauline wrote on her Stories alongside a link to the article: 'New York Times, liberal bias, yes yes yes I get it. But this one by @nickkristof is worth the read. It's about empathy and humanity. 'The United States faces a tremendous number of domestic issues. Our maternal mortality rate is embarrassing, our way of shopping and eating food completely out of season makes no sense, we're spoiled in our desire to BLAST ACs and heat, our INSANE wealth disparity is sick, the list literally goes ON and ON. 'BUT just take a second and think about the fact that LESS THAN 1 PERCENT of all of our money goes to humanitarian aid. 'That money is insignificant in fixing any of the larger problems that play in the United States. 'And yet so significant to the lives of millions of individuals across this shared home we call Earth.' She also previously re-shared a scathing tweet from Bernie Sanders bashing 'billionaires' on Instagram. Timothee's sister Pauline, who is an actress and producer, took an apparent swipe at Kylie last month via Instagram 'When the three wealthiest men in America sit behind Trump at his inauguration, everyone understands that the billionaire class now controls our government,' the outspoken politician said. Taking to her Stories to discuss a New York Times article about cuts to foreign aid, Pauline lambasted 'insane wealth disparity' in the US Pauline expanded on the post with a caption that read: 'Our system is so flawed that it allows billionaires to exist and accrue so much money and BARELY pay (and sometimes NOT PAY) ANY ANY ANY TAXES. 'This should not be possible. Billionaires do not need to exist. Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg SITTING IN FRONT OF cabinet is NOT DEMOCRATIC. NOT. DEMOCRATIC.' Pauline also once lashed out at people who own private jets when she reposted a telling message by nonprofit organization Move On, originally tweeted by Democratic politician Melanie D'Arrigo. Per The Sun, the tweet read: 'If your job requires a college degree, you should be able to write off your student loan payments as a business expense the way CEOs write off their private jets and yachts for their jobs which require neither.' Makeup mogul Kylie famously owns a private jet called Kylie Air, and is the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics, which she founded with mom Kris Jenner in 2014. It is unknown if Kylie 'writes off' her private jet as a business expense, but she has continuously come under fire for her CO2 emissions.

Timothée Chalamet's mother, Nicole Flender, is having her own moment

Call Nicole Flender by her name, as she is not just the mother of two successful actors. Flender is the mother of Timothée Chalamet, star of numerous films and a two-time Oscar nominee, as well as Pauline Chalamet, who most recently starred in the series 'The Sex Life of College Girls.' But Flender is also an accomplished real estate agent with the famed Corcoran real estate firm in New York City. According to a recent article in Curbed, she 'has been selling real estate with Corcoran for nearly a decade, ever since her husband, Marc Chalamet, a French journalist who now works for the U.N., spotted a Groupon deal for discounted courses at the New York Real Estate Institute.' 'Flender was working as a dance teacher in New York City public schools at the time, and her children — by that point working, but not famous, actors — had left the nest: Timmy was about to audition for 'Call Me by Your Name,' and his elder sister, Pauline, was at acting school in Paris,' the publication stated. Thanks to the article, we know that Flender's connections to the entertainment industry aren't just tied to her famous children. 'Flender's father, Harold, was a comedian and novelist whose book 'Paris Blues' was adapted into a film starring Sidney Poitier,' the article states. 'Her mother, Enid, was a Broadway dancer. Her brother, Rodman, was a child star who became a writer and director.' In the 1970s, Flender and her family were 'among the first to move into Manhattan Plaza, the subsidized-housing complex in Hell's Kitchen where the majority of tenants had to be performing artists, through the city's Mitchell-Lama program.' Their neighbors in that building included 'the then-30-something Larry David, who lived next to a comedian named Kenny Kramer, the inspiration for the Seinfeld character.' Not that Felder isn't proud of her kids. After Timothée Chalamet won SAG Award for male actor in a leading role for 'A Complete Unknown,' she talked to 'Entertainment Tonight' about her excitement. 'It's just incredible because I was with him from the start,' she said. 'From those first commercials he did and 'Law & Order' he did as an 11-year-old. This is just incredible. I'm so happy. I'm so proud.' Felder also had her own star turn. Her bio on the Corcoran site notes that she danced at the Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet when she was a child and went on to perform in several Broadway musicals. Felder, who is fluent in English and French, is also listed as an officer of Actors' Equity Association, where she represents more than 50,000 stage actors across the country. She is a member of the voting body for Broadway's Tony Awards and the author of the book, 'Cool Careers for People who Love Movement.'

A cockroach walks into a tonic bar: Erewhon location reopens after health scare

After a brief closure due to a "vermin infestation," the California upscale grocery store Erewhon store in Santa Monica has been to Chelsea Hylton with CBS News, the store closed on April 8 due to a "major violation" from the county Environmental Health Facility Closure List. "This was an isolated occurrence, and we take it very seriously," an Erewhon spokesperson told the publication. "Our team responded swiftly to ensure that every safety protocol was adhered to." As reported by Mimi Dwyer with Curbed, the specific violation related to a "cockroach in the tonic bar." Erewhon is known for its upscale, often gourmet, offerings and associated hefty price tags — like a $19 strawberry. The grocer has also become a hot spot for celebrity sightings, which the chain has embraced by partnering with celebrities on items, like Hailey Bieber's special smoothie (which was notably panned by Chappel Roan) last fall.
