From fan chants to citywide lights in the sky, every moment carried its spark. He later shared these special memories on Instagram, posting pictures that captured the spirit of his first day.
Stephen Curry's unforgettable first-day moments from bathroom beats to drone-lit skies
On Day 1 of the tour in Chongqing, Stephen Curry not only welcomed fans to Curry Camp and Curry Con, but he also took part in playful, unexpected moments and posted them on his Instagram on August 19. He was seen vibing to music in a bathroom, shooting hoops on court, and enjoying close fan interactions throughout the day - little bits that showed how he connected with people.
Plus, there was a striking photo in the sky, captured in a drone-lit image reading 'Curry meets Chongqing.

Stephen Curry reflected on the welcome warmly, saying, 'That [drone] show was crazy, probably my favorite thing right now … you can hear all the people … celebrating and enjoying being a part of my journey with me.'

Stephen Curry kicks off Curry Brand China Tour with grand Day 1 welcome
On Sunday, August 17, Stephen Curry, the four-time
NBA
champion and face of Curry Brand, stepped onto a basketball court in Chongqing, China. That day kicked off the Asia leg of the Curry Brand World Tour with the first-ever Curry Camp held outside the U.S., plus the brand-new event Curry Con - a three-day basketball culture fest right in the city.
Fans greeted him with unmatched energy and a special spectacle: a breathtaking drone show, lighting up the Chongqing skyline with a basketball swishing through a net and Curry's signature glowing above. The crowd cheered with 'MVP!' chants as he arrived.
