Eminem's Decade-Plus-Old Smash Hits New Peaks On Multiple Charts

Eminem's 'Shake That' re-enters Billboard's genre charts, hitting new peaks on both the Rap and ... More R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales rankings nearly 20 years after release. This week, he adds another win to his ever-growing résumé — but not with a new release. Instead, it's an older track that's making music again. 'Shake That,' the collaboration with the late Nate Dogg, is back on the Billboard charts, and it's bigger than ever on several rankings. 'Shake That' reappears on a pair of Billboard tallies this week. It doesn't manage to break onto all-genre tallies like the Hot 100, but it's once again a bestseller, appearing on two genre-specific lists. The Eminem cut returns to the Rap Digital Song Sales chart at No. 9. That's the highest it's ever ranked on that list. 'Shake That' also finds space on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tally, where it enters at No. 12. Though slightly lower, that's another all-time best showing for the single. Over the course of its lifetime, 'Shake That' hasn't been a consistent performer on these two rosters. In fact, as of this frame, it has only spent two weeks on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking, and just one other turn on the Rap Digital Song Sales list. 'Shake That' was originally featured on Curtain Call: The Hits, a compilation that Eminem dropped in 2005. That set was largely a collection of previously-released smashes, but it did include a few brand new tracks. 'Shake That' was one of just three original cuts created for the project. When it was released, the track quickly became another win for the rapper. It peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100, extending his streak of high-charting singles at the time and giving Nate Dogg one of his biggest mainstream successes. 'Shake That' stands as Eminem's only current hit on the U.S. charts. His track 'Without Me' is still performing well globally, though it's on the decline across Billboard's international rankings. This time around, 'Without Me' drops to No. 146 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 170 on the Billboard Global 200. With 'Shake That' becoming a bestseller once more, it's not shocking that Curtain Call: The Hits is enjoying a boost in performance as well. The compilation appears on four Billboard charts this week, and it's climbing on three of them.

Eminem Charts A New Hit Single — But The Song Was A Winner Decades Ago

Eminem lands three songs on U.K. charts this week, with 'Shake That' making an unexpected comeback ... More and scoring its first appearance on the Singles Sales chart. Thornton/Getty Images) Eminem's discography is filled with dozens upon dozens of smash hits, many of which continue to chart years — and sometimes decades. The rapper, who's remained one of the most consistent hitmakers in music history, doesn't dominate the U.K. rankings this frame, but he does manage to score a handful of placements with individual tunes. Among them is a surprise revival: 'Shake That' is not only back on one roster, it also debuts on another for the very first time. 'Shake That' pops up on two charts in the U.K. this frame. It's the only Eminem track to appear on more than one tally at the moment. The cut climbs back onto the Official Singles Downloads chart, landing at No. 96. That's not an especially lofty placement, but the fact that the song is even charting is worth pointing out. It's been more than 10 years since the tune ranked as one of the most downloaded tracks in the country — and more than 15 since it originally arrived. As it surges, 'Shake That' also appears on the Official Singles Sales chart for the first time. The tune opens at No. 98, finally becoming one of the bestselling cuts in the U.K. nearly two decades after it first found success. As 'Shake That' lands on the Official Singles Sales chart, Eminem scores his forty-second hit on that roster. The rapper last reached the tally in September 2024, when two cuts — 'Like My Shit' and 'Fuel,' a collaboration with fellow hip-hop star J.I.D. — both started in the middle of the ranking. 'Shake That' was first promoted as a single from Eminem's Curtain Call: The Hits compilation. The set, released in late 2005, featured a handful of original tracks, including this Nate Dogg-assisted jam. While the late West Coast icon is credited as a featured artist on the tune, his name curiously doesn't appear on either U.K. chart this week. That's a strange omission given his recognizable hook and vital role in the song's success, though not necessarily an uncommon one when it comes to the weekly tallies in the country. At the moment, Eminem claims just three hits on the U.K. charts. 'Without Me' and 'Lose Yourself' both cling to spots on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart, coming in at No. 30 and No. 32, respectively. Though his singles may not be flooding the rankings this frame, Eminem's albums continue to perform well. Five of his full-lengths place on at least one U.K. chart this week. As is usually the case, Curtain Call: The Hits ranks as the top performer. The compilation holds steady on one list while climbing on three others, and it's possible that it's growing thanks to the renewed interest in 'Shake That.'

Eminem's Massive Album And One Of His Biggest Singles Both Return

Eminem's Curtain Call: The Hits and 'Lose Yourself' both return to on one Billboard chart apiece ... More this week. AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - NOVEMBER 10: (EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE) Eminem poses in his dressing room with the 'Best Hip Hop' and 'Global Icon' awards during the MTV EMA's 2013 at the Ziggo Dome on November 10, 2013 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. (Photo by Davefor MTV) Eminem has been one of the most dominant names in hip-hop for decades, and his music continues to thrive across multiple Billboard charts. Even without a new release, fans keep streaming, buying, and revisiting his biggest hits, ensuring that he continues to find space on the rankings with regularity. This week, both a classic album and one of his most beloved songs return to the charts, though they reappear on different rankings, as fan activity keeps both alive. Eminem's Curtain Call: The Hits will seemingly never not be a Billboard winner. The singles-packed compilation is back on four charts this frame, rising on three and reentering one. The most notable movement comes on the Top Streaming Albums chart, where the set returns at No. 47. The list ranks the most-played full-lengths across the U.S. on sites like Spotify, and for a collection released nearly two decades ago to still be among the top 50 is impressive. At its peak, Curtain Call climbed as high as No. 18 on the tally — an achievement made even more remarkable by the fact that the ranking didn't exist when the album was first released. While its reappearance on the Top Streaming Albums list is noteworthy, Curtain Call is also gaining elsewhere. The compilation is creeping closer to the top 10 on the Top Rap Albums chart, moving up three spots to No. 12. It mirrors that exact rise on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, improving to No. 18 this frame. Meanwhile, on the Billboard 200 — the most important albums chart in the U.S. — Curtain Call manages a notable jump. The set leaps nearly 20 spots, ascending from No. 68 to No. 49. Eminem isn't just finding success with his albums this week. One of his most iconic songs is once again making noise as well. 'Lose Yourself' is back on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking, which tracks the bestselling songs in those genres (as well as rap) genre each week. The cut returns at No. 13, reasserting itself as one of the top-selling rap tracks in the country. Despite its incredible longevity — it has thus far spent 460 weeks on this particular chart — the 8 Mile anthem has never hit No. 1. Instead, it has peaked at No. 2, narrowly missing out on the top spot.
