However, the Smart variant of the 2025 Altroz only gets the option for petrol and CNG engine options. While the CNG only gets a 5 speed manual transmission regardless of the trim level, the petrol engine option for the Smart variant can only be had with the 5 speed manual transmission. 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: Here's what's new compared to the outgoing model
Tata Motors has unveiled the 2025 Altroz facelift, and though pricing will be officially revealed on May 22, the new premium hatchback has already raised interest for its updated look and new features. The facelifted Altroz is not only a cosmetic change but also brings some new additions that make it a better player in its segment. Here's a detailed analysis of the major upgrades over the previous model. The facelifted Altroz is not only a cosmetic change but also brings some new additions that make it a better player in its segment. 1 Sharper Lighting Package and Modern DRLs The most noticeable change to the 2025 Altroz is its new lighting configuration. The usual halogen projector headlamps have been swapped out for stylish twin-pod LED units, giving the car a more premium look. Longer, more angular LED daytime running lights (DRLs) with an eyebrow-like edge also make their first appearance as part of the facelift. LED fog lamps are now standard, enhancing low-light visibility. In the back, the wraparound halogen tail lights give way to an interconnected LED light bar, bestowing the hatchback with a more advanced rear design. 2 First-in-Segment Flush Door Handles Adding a bit of SUV-inspired aesthetics, the refreshed Altroz now comes with flush-type door handles on the front doors—just like its upcoming Curvv SUV coupe sibling. Tata Altroz facelift will continue with the same powertrain options as the outgoing model. The Tata Altroz Facelift will get a new look, borrowing styling cues seen on Tata's newer models like the Curvv, Harrier and Safari. Tata Altroz facelift is slated to launch in India on May 22. The updated iteration of the premium hatchback will revise its competition with rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20. Another major update is the flush-fitting door handles. Expect new design alloy wheels to be there as well. Inside the cabin, the Tata Altroz facelift largely retains the same design philosophy as the current model. However, there would be slight changes to the centre console and other design elements. Also, besides that, the hatchback gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol motor. Both of these petrol engine options are expected to continue in the Altroz facelift. Transmission options, too, would remain unchanged in the upcoming model. Tata Motors is preparing to launch the facelifted iteration of the Altroz in the Indian market. The premium hatchback will be launched on May 22. To build the buzz around it, the automaker has started releasing teaser videos of the upcoming Altroz facelift. Certainly, the videos have revealed some crisp information about the updated model, including the features it is expected to get and the treatment it has received for an accentuated visual appeal. So, here's all about the Tata Altroz facelift that we know so far. 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: Design The Altroz now gets redesigned headlamps. While the overall silhouette of the car remains the same, Tata Motors has tweaked a few parts to make it look fresh. Thus, we have a new set of headlamps. These are all-LED units with eyebrow-style LED DRLs. Also, the bumpers on both ends are now refreshed units. First seen on the Curvv, the flush-type door handles have also made their way to the Altroz facelift now. Another change is a new 3d-style radiator grille on the facelifted model. It looks a little more complicated than one seen on the outgoing model. Nonetheless, adds a sense of fresh air to the face. We expect Tata Motors might skip out on the 1.2L turbo-petrol to keep it reserved for the Altroz Racer nameplate. The diesel's way forward remains a question, but the Altroz, in all likelihood, will continue to be the only premium hatchback with the dual-cylinder technology. 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: Price & Launch Date The updated Altroz will be launched in the Indian market on May 22.
