Lizzo Flaunts Slimmed-Down Body During Sound Bath As Singer Admits She 'Crashed Out Bad'

On Sunday, took to social media to show off her curves in black underwear while enjoying a sun-drenched sound bath. The singer had been on an "intentional weight loss journey" and recently attained her goal weight, much to the admiration of fans. Lizzo previously announced she was drawing the curtain on her career after she grew tired of "being the butt of the joke" following damning lawsuits against her by her former dancers. Lizzo took to her Instagram account to share an intimate moment in which she enjoyed a relaxing sound bath in the sun with fans. The "About Damn Time" hitmaker seemingly used the opportunity to show off her slimmed-down figure in black underwear as she can be seen bending intermittently to hit the metal sound bowl with a gong. Alluding to a tough week, she wrote in the caption, "I crashed out bad today BUT this time I didn't bring it to the internet… You know what that's called? GROWTH ." Many fans took to the comment section to applaud her, with one mentioning that they're "proud of" Lizzo, adding that the singer shows how much she "grows every day." Another fan wrote, "You have done some work, queen! So proud of you." "You killin it... Keep up the great work," a third penned, while another added that the multi-Grammy winner has " shown so much growth and has everything to be proud of!" Lizzo has been on a weight loss journey since late 2023 and has, over time, flaunted her progress for all to see. Earlier this month, Lizzo attended Vanity Fair's Oscars party in Hollywood with her boyfriend, Myke Wright, and made it a point to flaunt her new weight by wearing a figure-hugging black gown with a fitted bodice. However, a source told the Daily Mail that her body transformation is causing concern amongst her loved ones because it feels like a "contradiction" after she spent the early part of her career propagating the "bigger is beautiful" message. "Lizzo has lost a significant amount of weight, and it's causing concern among those close to her," the insider shared. "She built her brand around the message bigger is beautiful and was so outspoken about how she feels about it." "She was such an inspiration to so many bigger women. But now that she is so determined to slim down and be gorgeous, which feels like a contradiction to who she was and what she has always stood for," the source added. In January, the 36-year-old performer publicly revealed that she'd achieved her goal weight as her weight loss app showed that she lowered her body mass index (BMI) by 10.5 and lost 16% of her body fat. "I did it. Today, when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal," Lizzo said. "I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!" However, the "Cuz I Love You" crooner has had to defend herself from allegations that she used ozempic to slim down, instead insisting that she has undertaken a "methodical" approach to shedding the pounds, including "months of weight training" and "living in a calorie deficit thanks to a high-protein, veggie-based diet." "When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," she wrote on Instagram. Lizzo's slimmer figure comes over a year after she shared on TikTok that she was on an "intentional" weight loss journey. "I am actually on an intentional weight-loss journey right now," the four-time Grammy winner said at the time in her post. The singer also explained that she doesn't expect to be "considered thin" when she reaches her goal, but she would rather focus on being happy and healthy. "Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means," Lizzo added. "I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. But I will be happy." Lizzo recently declared that she has grown tired of "being the butt of the joke." She wrote on Instagram in March, "I'm getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music and, make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it." "I'm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views … being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I lookM," Lizzo continued, per the Daily Mail. "My character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name. I didn't sign up for this sh-t."
