Lizzo Flaunts Slimmed-Down Body During Sound Bath As Singer Admits She 'Crashed Out Bad'
On Sunday, took to social media to show off her curves in black underwear while enjoying a sun-drenched sound bath.
The singer had been on an "intentional weight loss journey" and recently attained her goal weight, much to the admiration of fans.
Lizzo previously announced she was drawing the curtain on her career after she grew tired of "being the butt of the joke" following damning lawsuits against her by her former dancers.
Lizzo took to her Instagram account to share an intimate moment in which she enjoyed a relaxing sound bath in the sun with fans.
The "About Damn Time" hitmaker seemingly used the opportunity to show off her slimmed-down figure in black underwear as she can be seen bending intermittently to hit the metal sound bowl with a gong.
Alluding to a tough week, she wrote in the caption, "I crashed out bad today BUT this time I didn't bring it to the internet… You know what that's called? GROWTH ."
Many fans took to the comment section to applaud her, with one mentioning that they're "proud of" Lizzo, adding that the singer shows how much she "grows every day."
Another fan wrote, "You have done some work, queen! So proud of you."
"You killin it... Keep up the great work," a third penned, while another added that the multi-Grammy winner has " shown so much growth and has everything to be proud of!"
Lizzo has been on a weight loss journey since late 2023 and has, over time, flaunted her progress for all to see.
Earlier this month, Lizzo attended Vanity Fair's Oscars party in Hollywood with her boyfriend, Myke Wright, and made it a point to flaunt her new weight by wearing a figure-hugging black gown with a fitted bodice.
However, a source told the Daily Mail that her body transformation is causing concern amongst her loved ones because it feels like a "contradiction" after she spent the early part of her career propagating the "bigger is beautiful" message.
"Lizzo has lost a significant amount of weight, and it's causing concern among those close to her," the insider shared. "She built her brand around the message bigger is beautiful and was so outspoken about how she feels about it."
"She was such an inspiration to so many bigger women. But now that she is so determined to slim down and be gorgeous, which feels like a contradiction to who she was and what she has always stood for," the source added.
In January, the 36-year-old performer publicly revealed that she'd achieved her goal weight as her weight loss app showed that she lowered her body mass index (BMI) by 10.5 and lost 16% of her body fat.
"I did it. Today, when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal," Lizzo said. "I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!"
However, the "Cuz I Love You" crooner has had to defend herself from allegations that she used ozempic to slim down, instead insisting that she has undertaken a "methodical" approach to shedding the pounds, including "months of weight training" and "living in a calorie deficit thanks to a high-protein, veggie-based diet."
"When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," she wrote on Instagram.
Lizzo's slimmer figure comes over a year after she shared on TikTok that she was on an "intentional" weight loss journey.
"I am actually on an intentional weight-loss journey right now," the four-time Grammy winner said at the time in her post.
The singer also explained that she doesn't expect to be "considered thin" when she reaches her goal, but she would rather focus on being happy and healthy.
"Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means," Lizzo added. "I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. But I will be happy."
Lizzo recently declared that she has grown tired of "being the butt of the joke."
She wrote on Instagram in March, "I'm getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music and, make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it."
"I'm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views … being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I lookM," Lizzo continued, per the Daily Mail. "My character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name. I didn't sign up for this sh-t."

Keith Sweat Stands Behind 'Entitled' Women Remarks With A Little Help From Kendrick Lamar
Keith Sweat is standing firm on his recent comments about modern relationships and the roles women play within them—despite facing heavy backlash from critics labeling his views as outdated and 'misogynistic.' The R&B legend took to Instagram on Monday (June 9) to both reaffirm and clarify his stance, doing so with a bit of rhythm and reinforcement from none other than Kendrick Lamar. In a video post, Sweat is seen grooving to Kendrick's 'Peekaboo' from the GNX project, brushing off the criticism with a carefree caption. 'We ain't worried about nothin the haters gotta say,' he wrote. 'Enjoy Life.' The post was a not-so-subtle response to growing criticism over remarks Sweat made during a recent live show, where he addressed what he perceives as a rising trend of 'entitled' women who aren't willing to contribute equally in relationships. 'You got to bring something to the table to get something for me,' Sweat told the crowd in the now-viral clip. 'I can't help it. They don't want to cook no more.' He continued, emphasizing his self-sufficiency:'I wash my own clothes, iron my own clothes. Gotta do something for me.' The clip sparked debate online, with many accusing the Harlem-born singer of unfairly stereotyping women. But Sweat returned to social media to clarify his perspective. 'Yall tripping I cook and clean and I don't have too,' he wrote in the comments. 'What's the problem I said a lot of women don't even do what I do.' He further explained, 'If you don't fall into that category why yall trippin still love yall anyway back to doing my dance.' In a follow-up message aimed at settling the dust, Sweat reiterated that his original comments were never meant as a blanket statement. 'I didn't say all I said a lot of women not all yall need listen lol,' he added. While his delivery has struck a nerve with some, others have applauded the veteran singer for voicing what they see as an increasingly common sentiment among men navigating modern dating dynamics. Whether fans agree or disagree, Keith Sweat is making one thing clear: he's not backing down from speaking his truth—and he'll dance through the criticism if he has to. Owner of Dominican club whose roof collapsed and killed 236 is arrested along with his sister
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) — The owner of an iconic nightclub in the Dominican Republic whose roof collapsed in April and killed 236 people was arrested Thursday along with his sister. Antonio Espaillat and Maribel Espaillat have not been charged in the case , although authorities have 48 hours to present any charges before a judge. 'Both defendants displayed immense irresponsibility and negligence by failing to physically intervene to prevent the club's roof from collapsing, as it ultimately did, causing 236 deaths and more than 180 injuries,' the Dominican Republic's Attorney General's Office said in a statement. Prosecutors accused the Espaillats of trying to intimidate or manipulate company employees, adding that they could serve as witnesses in the case. Antonio Espaillat is considered a powerful businessman in the Dominican Republic; he owns upscale entertainment centers and dozens of local radio stations. Miguel Valerio, the Espaillats' attorney, told reporters that he expects to have access to the prosecutors' evidence in upcoming days. 'This is a involuntary homicide,' he said. 'Nobody wanted that to happen.' The Espaillats were arrested after being interrogated for several hours. Altanto TV, a local digital news channel, posted an interview with a man they identified as former Jet Set employee Gregory Adamés. The channel said he gave prosecutors videos and conversations with Antonio Espaillat in which he warned that the April 7 party shouldn't be held because the roof could collapse. Adamés said in a video posted on Instagram that he would hold the Espaillat family responsible if he disappears or is shot or involved in an accident. 'If something happens to me, it's clear where it came from,' he said. 'My intention is not to hurt anyone, only that the truth be known.' A government-appointed committee that includes international experts is still investigating what caused the roof to collapse. Crews worked for 53 hours nonstop after arriving on the scene in Santo Domingo shortly after midnight on April 8, rescuing 189 survivors. The victims included beloved singer Rubby Pérez , who was performing when the roof caved in, and Nelsy Cruz, the governor of Montecristi province and sister of seven-time Major League Baseball All-Star Nelson Cruz. Also killed was former MLB pitcher Octavio Dotel , who was pulled from the debris but died in hospital, and Dominican baseball player Tony Enrique Blanco Cabrera. Other victims include a retired U.N. official, New York-based fashion designer Martín Polanco, an Army captain who left behind four young girls, and three employees at Grupo Popular, a financial services company, including the president of AFP Popular Bank and his wife. The relatives of several survivors have filed lawsuits against Antonio Espaillat. The club, which had operated for nearly five decades, was known for its Monday night merengue parties that attracted international celebrities and high-profile Dominicans. Error!
