Heart stopping 911 call after Arizona man murdered his girlfriend and her mom on Christmas Eve

A heart-stopping 911 call has revealed sheer panic in an Arizona home after a man murdered his girlfriend and her mom on Christmas Eve. David De Nitto fatally shot Maryalice 'Molly' Cash, 47, and her mother, Cynthia Domini, 83, before taking his own life on Christmas Eve 2023. Now, newly released audio from the night captured the terror in the voices of family members as they desperately pleaded with dispatchers for help. 'My dad-in-law just pulled a gun on us and my mom,' a frantic caller told a 911 dispatcher in the first of three emergency calls obtained by AZ Family. 'He's been drinking so much. We are gonna need someone out here now please.' Over the course of the five-minute call, the woman, believed to be Cash's daughter, said she escaped with others in a car, fleeing the scene. She breaks down sobbing saying her mother was being held at gunpoint inside the home. She also said her grandmother was 'face down in the garage.' 'She's face down in the garage. I don't know where my mom is. She's alive right now, but she's in the house trapped. Please hurry!' The horrifying incident occurred at around 11:30pm during a Christmas Eve gathering with Cash's family at a home near Central Avenue and Bethany Home Road. De Nitto reportedly slammed Cash's head into a wall. Her son tried to intervene and punched De Nitto, who then chased the teen up the street while wielding a bottle of alcohol. The two then returned separately but that's when things escalated. As Cash's son and his girlfriend tried to escape again, De Nitto allegedly pointed an AR-15 rifle at them. They fled in a car but quickly circled back to rescue De Nitto's two young sons from inside the home. That's when he grabbed the gun and shot dead Cash and mother, police said. Police say both Cash and Domini were found dead inside the garage. De Nitto's body was located nearby inside the garage door leading into the house. 'We just saw when we were getting the two young kids in the car, we just saw the gunshots flying and then we drove by and saw her on the ground in the garage,' the caller told dispatchers. De Nitto was married to Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel until her death at 45 on April 30, 2022. After her death, the Wells Fargo financial advisor, 47, began dating Cash, a local realtor in Phoenix. A haunting photo shows all three at a family gathering in October, along with Domini-Cash's 26-year-old son and De Nitto and Adel's two young boys. Adel and De Nitto's two sons are now orphans and must come to terms with their father's heinous crimes. 'It is impossible to comprehend a tragedy such as this. Words cannot adequately express the flood of sorrow,' Adel's successor Rachel Mitchell said. 'I ask the community to join me in praying for the families affected and, most especially, Allister's children. I also ask that the community surround the families with love, kindness.' Cash was a real estate agent at North&Co and, like Adel, a passionate Arizona Cardinals fan whose her son was a football star at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix.
