Abu Dhabi court rejects man's lawsuit seeking Dhs15,000 repayment in a cheating case
Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by a man against another demanding the repayment of D15,000, along with additional fines.
The plaintiff claimed that he had agreed with the defendant, who allegedly worked at a bank, to facilitate the approval of an Dhs800,000 loan with a monthly installment of Dhs6,040 over 25 years, in return for a commission of Dhs25,000.
The plaintiff claimed that he transferred Dhs15,000 to the defendant in three installments, but the latter failed to complete the necessary procedures, did not secure the loan approval, and stopped responding to his communications.
Upon investigating, the plaintiff discovered that the defendant was not employed by the bank, so he filed a criminal complaint against him.
The court stated that the plaintiff's claims were unsupported by evidence and the case file lacked proof that the defendant had misappropriated the funds. Therefore, the court dismissed the lawsuit.
