Xsolla unveils LiveOps suite to boost D2C game monetisation
Xsolla has announced the planned launch of its Xsolla LiveOps Management Suite, designed to support game developers in managing and monetising direct-to-consumer (D2C) LiveOps campaigns.
The suite provides a dedicated tool that allows development and monetisation teams to build and operate D2C LiveOps through a visual canvas integrated into the existing Xsolla Publisher Account. This functionality is positioned to improve efficiency in managing campaigns and offers within current Web Shops, with the aim of enabling quicker and more coordinated campaign operations.
Designed for D2C environments
The Xsolla LiveOps Management Suite has been constructed specifically for D2C channels, providing features to help studios launch, synchronise and operate campaigns with clear visibility and collaboration across web and in-game platforms. Developers can use a single interface to run all D2C LiveOps activities, and the system enables real-time adjustments as well as personalised offers and experiences for players.
Behaviour-driven personalisation is central to the tool, with dynamic trigger-action campaigns that react to player behaviour and game events, making the workflow more responsive. The included analytics facilitate campaign and item-level performance tracking, supporting ongoing revenue optimisation efforts.
Key feature set
Main features of the Xsolla LiveOps Management Suite include player segmentation using flexible data, scheduling of campaigns and promotions to streamline workloads, trigger-based campaign automation, and access to campaign templates with built-in recommendations. A calendar view also provides scheduling clarity for teams, and the service is offered as a complimentary addition for all existing Xsolla clients.
Discussing the suite's aims and how it addresses common issues with LiveOps tools, Chris Hewish, President at Xsolla, commented: "Game developers need to act fast, test ideas, and personalize at scale - but traditional tools are often too technical, rigid, or disconnected. With Xsolla LiveOps Management Suite, we're removing those barriers. It synchronizes LiveOps activities seamlessly across web and in-game platforms, directly translating player insights into actionable monetization strategies. This new platform gives studios the speed, flexibility, and insight they need to grow D2C revenue and deliver exceptional player experiences all without code."
Operational efficiency and analytics
With player segmentation, monetisation teams can offer relevant content to targeted player groups. Automated and scheduled launches permit campaign planning in advance, potentially reducing operational strain and ensuring campaigns run at optimal times. Trigger-action campaigns operate based on user behaviour or specified timing criteria, managed through cooldowns and priorities to avoid overwhelming players with offers.
The campaign templates offered through the suite are based on data from successful Web Shop scenarios, with built-in recommendations that adjust to each developer's particular data set - for example, proposals for re-engagement campaigns if a player shows signs of churn. Studios may further customise or design unique campaign logic to fit their strategic needs.
Actionable analytics are accessible to studio teams, who can monitor the performance of campaigns and individual items. This information is intended to facilitate strategic fine-tuning and to support revenue optimisation based on measurable outcomes.
Development status and access
The Xsolla LiveOps Management Suite is currently in beta, with early access available for select studios. Some developers are already utilising the suite to operate real-time campaigns and assess new monetisation avenues through the Xsolla ecosystem.
The introduction of the LiveOps Management Suite coincides with Xsolla's longstanding approach to supporting developer requirements for scalable, low-code and no-code solutions in game business operations. Xsolla states this move is part of its broader initiative to equip studios with the means to reduce friction, increase revenue, and develop a more effective global presence with direct-to-consumer models.
At this stage, the LiveOps Management Suite expands on Xsolla's set of solutions by integrating campaign automation, comprehensive data segmentation, and the ability to synchronise LiveOps workflows across platforms, aiming to simplify and enhance D2C monetisation for developers.
