Best No. 68 in Steelers history: DE L.C. Greenwood
There's no debating the best No. 68 in Steelers history — L.C. Greenwood was easily the greatest to ever don the jersey. Drafted by Pittsburgh with the 238th overall pick in the 10th round of the 1969 NFL Draft, Greenwood was a pivotal member of the legendary Steel Curtain defense that won four Super Bowls. Playing with the Steelers from 1969 to 1981, Greenwood was named First-team All-Pro twice and earned six Pro Bowl selections. He was also named to the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team, the Steelers Hall of Honor, and the Pittsburgh Pro Football Hall of Fame. Greenwood is one of the greatest Steelers defenders of all time and deserves every bit of recognition as the best wearer of No. 68 in Pittsburgh.
